Congrats. on the Federal Permit and the Nova!! We don't really know what you are going to hunt, so recommending ammo will be a little tough. I do know that it will shoot anything you run through it. Good luck with the shotgun, and welcome to the world of Benelli.. Mike

Rabbit and Grouse this weekend and for the balance of the season... maybe whatever is left of waterfowl up here... (geese?)

Spring - turkey...

Next fall - deer

So for now, small game/upland stuff... maybe fowl

But I wouldn't mind trying some magnum stuff to see what it feels like...

i'm also thinking of coyote.. buckshot?

Get yourself some Remington Nitro Mag #4 and you should be good to go.

You can always go with game loads for rabbits and other small game, I personally like the Nitro Mags in all the sizes.

I would run some 3.5" through your gun, don't be worried, you will get some more pellets out of the deal, but you can kill with 2-3/4" as well without breaking a sweat.

Happy Hunting! :D

For rabbits and pheasants I use Federal Max dram,1 1/4, 5 shot 2 3/4 inch shells.

For dove size game I shoot 1 1/8 6 shot.

For turkeys I shoot Hevi-shot 3 1/2 #5's

For Coyotes I use 3 or 3 1/2 T-shot

For Skeet or clay bird shooting I use 1oz 7 1/2, 8's, or 9's

Congrats on your new gun.
