I recently inherited this shotgun. There appears to be very little info available, even on the Internet. I believe it to be a Franchi Dynamic 12 ("Franchi Dynamic" is stated in the 1975 bill of sale), possibly made in 1965 (that's the copyright date of the original instruction booklet), however, I'd like to be sure. Additionally, I can find no reference to it in the current Blue Book of Gun Values. I'm guessing somewhere around $400-$500, although I have no intention of selling it. The photos will show it to be in mint condition. I'm simply looking for as much information as I can get, and I would certainly appreciate anyone's assistance.

Little information is availabe but what I can find is that the Franchi Dynamic 12 was made in the 60's and similar to the AL48 ,but it has a steel reciever. From what I can tell, they were available in standard and heavyweight configuration.

Many thanks hattles....Yes, this is one of the few pieces of info I have found already. I'm inclined to believe that my shotgun is the Heavyweight version, as it does not have the engraving of the Hunter version.

After looking closer at your gun I see you have a Dynamic Skeet which I believe was a 1969 model

Again....many thanks hattles. I think you're correct, considering that the 1975 bill of sale that came with it probably would have said, "Dynamic 12," had it been that particular model. As I stated in my original thread, the bill of sale simply states, "Franchi Dynamic," which makes sense for it not being the Heavyweight version. The serial number is 134830, which I inadvertently left out of my previous posts, but so far, I can't find a resource that can tell me anything about it based on the serial number.

The shotgun is back from the gunsmithe. Inspection and cleaning revealed that it has been fired only a handful of times, as indicated by the lack of rings on the face of the bolt, and was nearly perfectly clean inside. The gunsmithe says it's in, "mint to factory condition," and that I should put it away and let it appreciate in value as time goes by. I believe that to be wise advice, considering its age (41 years or so) makes it a collector's item.

It was manufactured in 1966

Congrats...although not a highly collectable shotgun, it is somewhat of a rarity and should appreciate well.

Many thanks hattles....I feel the same, as most skeet guns usually go to the range and receive fairly heavy use. Besides, this one's an inheritance from a very dear, life-long friend and it will be severely cherished, then passed-on to my son.
