What is a good upland game habitat?

i own 40 acres on the Nolichucky river and about 15 of it are hay fields and about 5 are swamps and about 10 are clear and the last 10 are brushy pines .... is there anything i could do to make better for upland game ?or is it good land ?

 

and there are tons of rabbits and some quail already

Contact your state's extension agency and get information from them. I'll go ahead and guess that you're in NC, since you didn't bother to say what state you're in.

Q.U. has been reorganized and seems to headed in the right direction.

 

Check with your state game department, most have biologists that could give you help. You might also visit your local USDA office and talk to the NRCS conservationist or the local Soil and Water Conservation District office.
