  1. I'm 5'10" and use the middle notch for ease of handling for an isoceles stance. I have an aimpoint on a scalarworks. It's really my preferred way of handling a shotgun for heavy slug loads... but most of my training lately is for bear defense / euthanization. Haven't used bird shot lately except for rapid loading practice

  2. The m4 receiver is anodized aluminum so there shouldn't be any concerns about pulling it off or rusting. My preferred side saddle are the vangcomp spare carriers... to me they have the best elastic retention / release of any that I've tried. I just use velcro brand self-adhesive loop with a notch cut out for the trigger group take down pin on my receiver.

  4. Get an RMR, SRO or Aimpoint Micro and you’ll be able to keep it on 24/7/356. I swap the batteries on my birthday and never turn it off. Always on when I need it.
