  1. I have that tube and a couple things I didn't like about it... Looks to be layered CF strips instead of a full CF sheet. Also isn't UV treated so will golden over time. I had my local auto shop spray some UV clear on it to protect the tube. Also that tube is cheapest here: https://www.performanceshootinghq.com/fulllengthbenellim4carbonfibermagazine.aspx 15% off with code summer15off and free shipping.

  4. Every Benelli I have ever used has that wear pattern on the ejection port. If it bugs you, rubbing some Alumablack on the bare aluminum will blacken it until you fire it again.

  6. OK, I got it. Took some rather firm pressure and then it "popped" in. The pin is now also retained by the spring like it supposed to be. I wonder how the spring got misalined with the bushing. Thanks for all the help guys.

  7. My M4 looks just like any other right now, but the custom case with a benelli flashlight and a interestingly gripped knife with a matching serial number is pretty unique. The only downside is the case is a bit oversized, and the foam isn’t cut in a way that permits adding an RMR, a light, or a stock with an adjustable length of pull so I might have to buy another pelican case.

  8. So this my M4 with the mlok handguard from briley. Also has the match trigger, a & s trigger guard, extended safety, and opened loading port. will post a couple more pics when I get home. I’ve got just a couple more things like a front grip

  9. For me, the initial cleaning and inspection of a new platform is almost more fun than shooting it.

  10. Was the weapon cleaned and lubricated and properly assembled/verified? Does the ejector move freely but with reasonable spring tension present? can you cycle the weapon by hand, with no ammunition, and feel any meaningful binding after the first cycle which sets the hammer? do the gas pistons move smoothly and easily through their operational travel, and when removed and rolled across a true surface , do they appear straight? Are the marks they have made on the carrier face roughly comparable to one another, or does it look as though one is impacting significantly harder? Does the extractor have full range of motion with proper spring tension, and is it's contact edge even and appear without defect?
