  2. Me as well. Can anyone explain why the USPS is so bad now? We can’t blame it on political terms anymore and we certainly can not say that there are logistical excuses what the fuck is going on?

  3. Hi everyone, Just got my 1st shotgun a few weeks ago, 12 ga Nova 18" barrel, basically for home protection, going to the range with friends. Just have a few questions . While loading shells into the magazine, noticed it would only take 2 shells, they are snapcaps but measure the same as 2 3/4' shells (2 1/4") actual. I should be able to load 4. So my manual says the gun comes with a "short tube limiter" to comply with Federal migratory game regs, shows me how to disassemble to remove limiter, little confusion here,,,, the illustration shows what I now think is the limiter being put back in, its a red colored plastic insert about 4-5" long. Thats the only piece that I think could be the limiter, never did this before, so sorry for the stupid question. I also bought some shells that I didn't realize at the time are steel shot, instead of lead. Will this harm the barrel at all? I won't be hunting anything, strictly range and home . I was wondering if anyone has had success with mounting a picatinny rail on top of the Nova, it does not have the drilled and tapped holes for this. I saw a few aluminum "brackets" that mount over the reciever ( picatinny rail built into top) and use the existing holes that house the pins that hold the bolt in place. But I think these kits use bolts and nuts in place of the pins, reading some reviews on this mount, they say its not that stable and if overtightened trigger might stick. Just looking to maybe put a tactical light and laser dot on gun. Thanks in advance for any feedback on any of my questions, it much appreciated, Mike

  5. I read through all 8 pages of the ar15 thread. Those guys are loving their clones. They're quickly figuring out what parts work and what alternatives to Benelli parts there are available. I watched part of the video that was posted here, and what I saw was a guy who ran 5 rounds of high brass through his clone for break in, then tried to run low brass target loads through it and it wasn't cycling correctly. Maybe there's more to it, but if these things need a break in with high brass rounds, I'm fairly certain it means more than 5 of them. There's one guy claiming to have 500 rounds of high brass through his without a single malfunction. It'll be interesting to see if he can cycle some target loads now. Whoever determined that these Turkish clones are POS's seemingly did it off of a sample of one that had a questionable break in from some random "expert" from the internet, but what do I know? I'm just a guy on the internet.

  6. Primary difference would be that the M2 receiver is one-piece, all aluminum while the SBE has a two-piece receiver with a steel upper that's part of the barrel assembly and an aluminum lower portion. SBE would therefore be heavier than the M2. Inertia firing system is pretty much the same in each. The SBE has always been considered a heavier-duty type gun able to take more use with heavier loads vs the M's. I've got both (12 ga.) and functionally there's not much difference. The lighter M2 has a bit more felt recoil than the heavier SBE but in actual use in the field I never notice it.

  7. Ordered a custom blue force gear sling and front fits perfect and rear only accepts 1”. You know I’m getting so weary ordering gun parts online without being able to fit them on the weapon..... I’ve got so much shit laying around here for so many guns.

  8. Parts finally came back from paint today. So I got the M4 put together and took it out to sight it in on my private range here in the forest. This one is a smooth shooter. I can't tell the difference between buckshot and slugs thru it. I went through nearly a 100 rounds of slugs and buckshot to get everything sighted in and to see how the action was performing. Cleaning it when I got home was quick and easy. Everything wipes off with a rag with very little effort. Target set at 40 yards. Three shot groups of some cheap slugs. 3 shot groups continued. Dialing in the optic.

  9. So... I'm getting the Benelli M4 very soon. But this will be the first shotgun that I'll own. Heck... it'll be the first gun that I own. Thus.. I'm sorta clueless about gun maintenance. Is this an acceptable way to clean a shotgun? http://www.theboxotruth.com/docs/edu9.htm

  10. Yesterday, I just picked up my new M4. It is un-assembled still in the box. The gun has dried oil on it from the packaging used at factory to store the gun. What are the best cleaners and oils to use to clean and oil both the interior and exterior of the gun that will not harm the paint finish? Also, are there any tricks that I need to know on assembly that are not in the owners manual and do you guys know if there is any good step by step manual on cleaning and assembly/dissassembly of the M4? All information is very helpful and I appreciate your time. Thank You, Jason
