  1. It came into my FFL on the 9th, but I couldn't pick it up till today cause he was in the hospital. The receiver is Black Black, and the manufacture year is 21. Need to tweak the foam in my 3gun case for that insane LOP on the stock. Was strange that it comes only in cardboard unassembled, when far cheaper guns come with a cheap plastic case. not whining, just caught off guard.

  2. The carrier was one of the first things I replaced. The stock one tore my thumb up. The taran carrier is awesome and makes loading much more comfortable. Once you start with the upgrades your screwed LOL........it is addictive. You ll love it man they are so much fun to shoot.

  5. I've been busy with my new job and not as diligent as I should be in watching the forum. Evolution paid me promptly and this was an excellent transaction. Thankyou!

  6. WOW! You asked a question and I gave you my answer. No need to get pissy as your last response was "childish". I'm not saying your wrong as the boys in blue maybe taught differently on firearm readiness. I have served in the Army over 32 years and when we carry whether in theater or if we carry in garrison our weapon is chambered on safety and no different in my home. I can't count the times I have had to sleep with a chambered weapon. To each their own I guess.

  7. The word now is it wasn’t customs but USPS that sent them back. The shipper sent them soft wrapped in bags and USPS felt the pistol grips inside so sent them back like it was a gun. The shipper is boxing all the returns for reshipment.

  8. There could be a reason why they have a one star review out of 5200 reviews.

  9. I had no kids, so or me to set one up for duty use. It involves me loading it to capacity. Ideally, it would be after taking it to the range and shooting enough to know it is reliable, but if that is my only option, I'll load it anyway. Regarding one in the chamber... If I can't trust a firearm to not fire when it isn't supposed to by leaving one in the chamber, then I don't trust it period and it won't have a place in my house. ALL my guns that are for that type of role are loaded to full capacity, including one in the breech.

  12. Yes, Customs sent back a bunch of them but a few squeaked through. You just have to be willing to gamble. They will fit but you have to use their tube in your receiver.

  17. For me it's all about the flexibility. The half way position is PERFECT for a red dot on a low quick release mount. The fully opened position is PERFECT for the factory sights. It basically gives the user the ability to utilize the gun in a way that fits their own personal shooting style.

  18. Just want to publicly say thanks to Unobtanium for the trigger group I bought from him in this thread. I received it today and it is perfect and new just as he described it. I knew that it would be from my impression of him during the last several years on this forum, is that he is a person who is very meticulous about his firearms. He also sent it out to me without first receiving the funds I sent him. Thank you, sir!

  19. If you only have a split second, your imagined scenario, whether you drink coffee or not, can determine if you survive. If not ALL, coffee drinkers are worthless coming out of deep sleep; I speak from experience on the streets. Most of such and alcohol drinkers, if I kicked their door in, walked, not run, up to their stairs and into their bedroom, they would still be lying there trying to decide if they heard something and what it was. They could have a full auto Mac 10 in their lap and die holding it. The kid's question for you if you have any; others may make another choice. When civilians dream their scenario, mostly from movies, they imagine that they have it covered if they do this or that. As a cop, you learn quickly. Nothing works as you expect. Do you have an alarm? Do you have dogs? Do you have a wife who does not drink beverages that makes you get dead in deadly scenarios in the dark? Will you shoot your wife in the night since you woke up late due to your bad habits and did not realize she went into the hallway to verify something is going on, and you, one in the chamber, no coffee yet, or alcoholic smell coming out of your pores shoots her with your extra second. Your Hollywood scenario is not coming. Bad guys know where you are; your bedroom light is the last to go out. They know you do not have an alarm, and if you are in a moderate house, know this or that, and if you are in a prominent rich place with glass doors and large windows, they can peer through the glass determine where your steps are or if there is a movement of dogs and other intel. Nothing is as you imagine. Prepare your gun as you like. How you respond has nothing to how your gun works, my friend, your life depends on how YOU work! PS: Your comment, "As SD asked" is childest. I answer to whom I care to, PERIOD!
