Not a special edition at all, the consensus here seems to be bad quality control with unintended circumstances, I along with at least a few others seem to like the happy accident. The reason I posed the question was that there is a long history of this kind of thing in firearms manufacturing where a mistake in a limited number of guns turned out to be a feature that collectors later sought out, especially because it's only found on a limited number of guns before the problem is corrected.2 points

I found one today at a pawn shop. He thought it was for an ar15. I bought it and he took an additional $5 off. Didn’t come with the pistol grip but I have one on the way. I’ll have $216 in the grip and $35 in the buttstock. ?? For the one I’m already using, I bought the 1014, swapped and resold with a fixed stock. After gunbroker fees I lost right around 300-350 I believe.2 points

Good evening everyone. I am in the final stages of getting in material to produce a steel tang, titanium handle charging handle. I will be posting more details in this thread as they come. Titanium is ordered (Coming in from USA), and the steel tang will be stainless steel to prevent corrosion, RC 40, to prevent deformation from inserting and taking out the handle. This will be a locking charging handle. CNC Precision made, has an outside diameter of 0.6" (5/8") which is in between the 3/4" and 1/2". Final product finish will be sand blasted for a darker grey natural titanium look. If you want to be notified when stock is in, please sign up at www.rxarms.com. I am still settling on the design of knurl. I have read many feedback on all kinds of handles on these forums. I am probably going to settle on a more simple design like the previous carrier comp handle, but I will be testing a few designs first for grip of knurl, and also the force of pulling back on the handle, which may or may not attempt to rotate the locking handle. I do not want the handle to rotate, so the knurling and the notch design will be fine tuned to prevent this from happening. Initial stock is going to be around 65 handles, as they are pricy to make. The next order size will be dependent upon the demand. I know that the Carrier Comp handle is the unicorn of all M4 charging handles. My Goal in this, is designing this handle to be the best on the market.. Any and all feedback is welcome, so feel free to ask questions! As mentioned, visit www.rxarms.com, sign up if you want to get a notification when they are ready to ship. Thanks!1 point

That's weird. I would try a Surefire Z68 tailcap to see if it corrects the issue. Another option would be to contact Modlite and see what they say, perhaps the issue is with the head?1 point

Sooooo... the M1014 has a collapsable stock that won't collapse because of the fixed length recoil tube, and the 11707 has a 3-position recoil tube with a standard stock...? You can't make this stuff up. ?1 point

Why, do you believe it's some sort of special edition model ? They were probably all Monday or Friday receivers lol.1 point

Same - order placed 3/5. I sent an email a couple days ago to make sure I hadn't missed a call or email. They were very nice explaining the delays and challenges they're facing. I was told to expect a call (850 area code) early to mid June.1 point

All a Leo dealer does is call rep and place orderI It comes down to if they want too really .Even a direct Benelli dealer can place a order for anything.Leo Kinda gets orders filled better1 point

I haven't found any LEO dealers who can get them either. Any info you can share would be much appreciated. I'm waiting for my trigger group to return from Briley. I sent it in the first week of March and still no movement..... I called last week and they said they are out of parts and are waiting for them to active back from the titanium nitride treatment. They expect the parts to be back in this week sometime. Then build the triggers and ship them out. It sounds like it's going to be a bit yet.1 point

As a general inquiry, what type of knurling do you all prefer to have? I am thinking to not have such sharp knurling as to cut up the hands, but knurling with a bit more of a flat top on it that will still provide grip, but not chew up the hands. If any of you have any input on your preference would love to hear it. I had in mind, something similar to the attached photo. Thanks.1 point

They're super easy to find, you just have to pay to play, or be patient until pricing gets back to normal (assuming they ever do). I got lucky on my last one. I spent 4 hours a day for almost two weeks, but finally tracked one down for $275.00, surprisingly within 15 minutes of my house. In hindsight, I'm not entirely sure the stress of spending all that time consumed with my search was worth the $225.00 I saved by not getting on Benelliparts waiting list ?.1 point
