I did have mine start jamming on me last weekend for the first time while shooting clays. I had not cleaned it in about a year. I totally broke it down, barrel off, bolt out, trigger group out, stock off, recoil spring out, cleaned inside recoil spring tube, cleaned inside mag tube, took bolt apart. I use Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber Synthetic Safe Cleaner, it works great. I reoiled it, put it back together and it works like new. [ 01-11-2006, 07:19 AM: Message edited by: BLACK JACK ]

So you are actually shooting LH with your right hand on the forearm? I would think you should just treat the gun as if it were a LH gun and set it up accordingly. The only real difference is what side the ejection port is on. Thats my 2 cents.

To add to that if you pull the bolt back enough to expose most of the shell, but with some still left in the chamber and just let it slam forward on it own that will usually let it seat properly.

Which barrel the top or bottom? LOL

In English, it sounds like the bolt did not shut all the way. Mudhen I am coming up with this on my own, no cut and pasting here buddy. I missed a couple of woodies one time because I did not realize I had pulled the bolt back inadvertently. That was the last time I played with the bolt while waiting for some action.

I think Waldo was just venting his frustration over the availability of Benelli barrels I don't think he was whining or *****ing. It seems like some people on this forum take anything said about Benelli that is negative personally. I will be the first to say in my opinion you absolutely can't buy a better semi auto shotgun than a Benelli. When I am out with it and other hunters or shooter asks me "how do you like that Benelli" the first thing out of my mouth is "I love it" and then I proceed to tell them why. I have to agree with you. I have never seen a company like Benelli that makes it so hard to buy there products. It just does not make any sense. Can someone explain the pros of an over bored gun. I am no expert, but it seems like having an over bored barrel would let the gases escape past the shot cup therefore giving you less FPS and a blown out pattern. Also choking seems like it would be a problem.

That’s the forend and no it should defiantly not slide up and down. If it is put together right then your barrel/top receiver should also be moving. Sounds like your forend cap is not tightened up all the way. Make sure that the plug and plug retainer do not come out past the end of the mag tube. Also make sure the top receiver is mated to the lower receiver correctly.
