  2. The real question is: What are going to shoot, upland, clays, waterfowl?
  3. Then cross a 5 strand barbwire fence
  4. Smoked Ribs, brisket, pulled pork and free beer

    Lookin for Ammo

For ammo try Natchez Shooter and Able Ammo from time to time, I found some 38 Super at Able. Anyone reloading: Good luck, I have brass, powder and bullets, small pistol primers are hard to find.
  6. Welcome aboard on both accounts: Mid life and the Monte
  7. T & S Industries out of Ohio makes a shell catchers for Benelli's. The ruber band will save you so money and time, if you are using the gun for hunting as well.
  8. I have a M2 and SBE II in LH, ended up buying a M2 20 a fews ago and had the safety switched. I have not seen a 20 ga Monte in left handed.
  9. I talked with the Benelli marketing folks at the SHOT Show and asked about a 20 ga M2 in a left handed. The reply was that 20 ga guns make up less than 10% of thier total gun sales. So also factor in that about 7-9% of the US population is left handed, that makes a pretty small population.
  10. Thanks I'll give him a call
  11. Which gunsmith did you use in KC? I am looking for someone to do some finish work on a WWI Smith 1917.

  13. Is this going to be a Benelli version of the Sig Sauer P250? Will there be 3.5" 12 ga reeciever / barrel and a 20 ga reciever / barrel?
  14. With the modular design it makes me wonder if they are going down the route of the Sig Sauer P250. You just change out the barrel – receiver to get a new gauge or shell length. Granted they don’t sell a whole new gun, it’s the razor, razor blade business. Gillette blades only fit in Gillette razors.
  15. Go with a Lab, especially if you funds are limited for the purchase because that will be the cheap end of ownership the first year, after adding routine vaccinations, heartworm ect. Like stated around our area in Missouri they range from $800 to $1,200 I paid $600 for my pointing Lab 7 years ago, although I saw two Lab pups at a recent DU dinner go for $350. So check around with local DU, Delta Water chapters to see if anyone is expecting a litter. Above all don’t buy from a puppy mill breeder; the incidence of hip dysplasia is high try to train the dog yourself to create a stronger bond, that you are the boss. There are several good books, one being Waterdog by Richard Wolters. Good Luck Good Luck

    VINCI

With only 7-10% of the population being lefties, don't hold your breath. At the SHOT Show I talked with a Benelli marketing rep and asked about a lefty 20 ga. He siad very highly unlikely. Less than 10% of their guns sales are 20 ga and the number would be reduced to a population of 7-10%.
  17. I am a left handed shooter too and for years shot Beretta's and Super X2's with the safety flipped around. I now own a M2 12ga and SBE II both in left handed guns. Pro:They are both great to shoot, easy to maintain, fit right. Cons: Shooting light dove loads, but I fixed that. Found a M2 20ga on closeout and had the safety flipped around. You can't go wrong with a SBE II LH, but you for sure want to wait and see what pops out of the box on the 31th.
  18. If what pops out of the box on the 31st doesn’t meet your needs for your lil lady, our daughter is 5’1”, weighs maybe 105 lbs, just a small person. She has no trouble shooting a Beretta Urika 391 youth with a 24” barrel.
  19. Make sure the bolt is completely closed and the bolt head is rotated or the shell carrier will not go up.
  20. I have shot Blackclouds for 2 years, ducks over decoys I shoot 3.5" #2 with IC choke. If they are working close 3" #3 with IC choke. Geese: 3.5" BB with a Mod choke. However I got a great deal on HeviShot and used 3.5" #4 with great success. Good shooting
  21. If you choose the HiViz Comp sight, use a drop of Blue Loctite on the screw and a drop on the base of the sight plate and rubber band the plast down overnight and you are good to go. If you don't like tube sights try the HiViz Star Bright,
  22. Think I would be sea sick in about 3 minutes
  23. The SuperSport is a great looking gun too. I am thinking more about going wiht the M2, ported barrels on the SuperSport and Cordoba might not make duck hunting buddies happy. But I think I'll at least wait to see "what is in the box"
