They’re in stock at https://www.gunpartscorp.com/gun-manufacturer/benelli/shotguns-benelli/semi-auto-shotguns/m4-super-90 if you still want to try.

Yes. Also, they dropped these to most all of their dealers the last week of August, so they’re still manufacturing and shipping.

Mountsplus misrepresents inventory until after you’ve paid.

I wonder if maybe you could just send the bolt assembly to Benelli instead of the whole gun to see if things appear correct to them?
-
How much oil are you applying? Getting those rails nice and wet? This isn’t normal—mine has never malfunctioned in 13 years (most of it stationary in a safe, but still).

I had referenced Steve’s prior work on an m2 to illustrate what I wanted to have done on my m4. My goal is to become proficient at weak hand quad loading.
-
On mine, make sure you click on the photos to see the high rez versions. Clean, even bevels all around.

Yeah, agreed. There are some pretty horrible jobs out there. He has some m2s on his Instagram that you should check out if you haven’t already.

If you can’t get a hold of him (I really hope all is okay with him—he’s a solid dude), I recently had @Steve Rose open the port on my m4. He did a great job.
Trying to add pictures but the forum isn’t cooperating.

Might just be worth a shot. Literally. The cards aren’t all that expensive.

Since it’s an inertia gun, it probably depends on how hot the loads are that you’re shooting. If you’re shooting 1300fps shot and above, I’d imagine you’re good. If you’re shooting low fps skeet shot, maybe not.

Just thought I’d update this thread since it’s the most recent posting on this hammer, and there seemed to be some questions about it that maybe were still up in the air.
I ordered the ShootingSight hammer earlier in the week and installed it this weekend. Super fast shipping, by the way.
After a thorough function check, it seems to be good to go. No fire on release as with some of the other full kits. Won’t know for sure until I hit the range next, but all good as of now. My trigger guard is OEM Benelli, aluminum, and I bought the gun new in 2010. I know—OG.

I think I’d rather have a pistol, actually, but our house is pretty small.

Time to get it ceracoated in camo!

Blue Force Gear Vickers with sewn-in QD swivels here.

If you’re not shooting too far, the cylinder works fine for decent buckshot, too. I just leave mine in.
-
The Benelli M4 comes with a M (modified) choke with three dots. I chose a cylinder choke to be able to run slugs safely. Repeatable hits at 50 yards all day long (or as long as my shoulder would allow).
-
Did you run it wet? Also, how’s your feed tube spring?
-
I’m going to reinforce with a 1/2” inner diameter stainless washer on the inside of the stock between the stock and the Noveske part’s square nut, and bridge any gaps with epoxy.
-
I’m finally getting around to installing the Noveske QD mounts so I don’t have to use the standard sling mounts in my m4:
https://noveske.com/products/flush-qd-sling-mount/
Others here have used them, too. Might be worth a look. And maybe at halfway or 1/3 of the way from the top to keep the gun situated properly.

Even if they were, having QD points near the bottom of the stock isn’t a good idea. It’ll cause the gun to flip over itself when hanging.
Benelli M4 Refresh After 13 Years

I’ve been on the forum since 2007 and finally bought an M4, new, in 2010. Bought the Carriercomp tube back then, and subsequently used the Sidearmor rail when that was a thing. Got rid of that heavy monstrosity a while ago. Started with the fixed pistol grip stock, and then replaced it with the Mesa Tactical Urbino when that was released. Recently decided the field stock was better for me. Here’s where it’s at now:
TRIGGER GROUP:
OEM aluminum trigger guard (came this way in 2010)
Shooting Sight NiB Benelli hammer
Taran Tactical Accuguide shell lifter
DMW enlarged safety
RECEIVER:
Loading port opening by RAS (Rose Action Sports)
Enlarged circular bolt release button by RAS
FFT Mil Spec Rail
Midwest Industries QD Low Aimpoint T1 mount
Aimpoint T2
RX Arms Benelli M4 Charging Handle Titanium
BARREL & MAGAZINE:
Carriercomp titanium magazine tube
Wolff magazine tube spring
Brownell’s magazine follower
Benelli cylinder choke
Impact Weapons Components Mount LBM41913
STOCK & HANDGUARDS:
Benelli field stock
Limbsaver pad 10403 Benelli
Noveske flush QD mount x 2
Stock and handguards painted in Multicam by Branden at Custom Gun Coatings
Blue Force Gear Vickers sling in Multicam, sewn QD push button mounts
Blue Force Gear Sling Sleeve in Multicam
