Reviving an old topic, so apologies in advance...

I just received one of these B&T Quad Rails from MGW (part #BT-211510, link: https://bt-parts.com/bt-211510-b-t-handguard-for-benelli-m4-super-90/#description) to see how it will fare replacing a rail from Agency Arms MLOK Rail (https://www.agencyarms.com/benelli-m4-compatible-mlok-handguard) on my M4 H2O from 2020 . The only reason for this rail swap is to see if the B&T will be better covering the top of the barrel near the receiver while providing decent mounting points for a light and etc., as the Agency Arms is "open" at the top when mounted and is still hot w/ gloves.

The B&T website for the quad rail states: " *Please note, due to possible revisions that have been implemented to the Benelli M4 Super 90, your firearm may require hand fitting for proper function depending on the specific revision you currently own. "

I've got a new M4 Entry (w/ 2024 mfg date) in the penalty box, and I'm willing to try this B&T quad rail out on it to see what are the potential issues some shooters are having. The "new" Benelli OEM quad rail looks nice, but I'd rather have the more actual/useable space on the B&T quad rail if I can get it to work properly. If so, I'm purchasing another B&T to have two for my M4's and I'll be parting ways with the Agency Arms M-LOK rail as well as the Benelli OEM quad rail soon. More to follow...

Never cared for the b&t rail.Id rather have the factory muilti rail

So I ended up sending the barrel to JK Armament's custom shop and they're currently making a custom thread protector and mount for their suppressor.  It's pricy, but they've been pretty helpful in making it happen.  I'll post pictures whenever it comes back.

Why would they have to make a thread protector if it’s internal choke for adapter

There are the financial considerations also.  A prototype of this piece is expensive, and the market of the SBS I am not sure how big it is compared the 18.5”.  Probably a fraction of the market.  But I’ll let you know when I’m ready and I’ll contact you.  Need to get the first version out before I even consider this.

Thanks looking forward to it someday.Theres a market maybe not as great as a 18 inch one

Haha.  Well the SBS is illegal in Canada so I don’t have a way to design it other than deducting the shorter barrel amount from the 18.5” version, and hoping it all works out.

I am not in a position to do that kind of blind designing.  But maybe in the future.

Design one minus inches and beta test it to a sbs owner in the states

I have a 11723 that I Form 1d. The 11723 has a front sling attachment that has a built-in QD attachment. And, uh, it rattles. Yeah, I know, it’s not like I’m sneaking up on anybody (today anyway), but it bugged me. I removed the sling attachment and mounted a QD on the funky new forearm. It don’t rattle anymore. lol.

You got pic of factory front qd mount?.Think thats style im looking for my new built

So I found a Geissele trigger and traded a kidney for it. Then I found an OEM aluminum trigger guard and grabbed that too. Figured I may as well put some Wolff trigger Springs in it while I had it torn down. You guys weren't lying about the trigger guards finish from the factory, I had to clean it up first.

First prototype came in. Don’t worry about the green, that’s just for prototyping. It will be black. Will need to make some fitting adjustments since I had to fiddle with it to make things fit and wasn’t a nice experience.  In the process of doing this, I came up with a better handguard that will be more ergonomic and all polymer. Doing the mlok rail part might not be a good idea due to potential sales vs cost. Still need to run some numbers. Enjoy the pics.
