  1. I was wondering what length of barrel I should get if I am going to use it for mainly deer hunting. So I would be shooting slugs most of the time? Is there a middle length that would be acceptable for shooting skeet and slugs? I know shooting slugs with longer barrels isn't really great since it would slow down the slug more. Any suggestions?

I would go with a barrel in the 18-24 barrel range.

  2. Maybe so, just my opinion. I'm not going to risk sitting in jail the rest of my life while my family doesn't have me to work and pay the bills. I just don't trust the legal system with my fate when I'm on the chopping block for possible murder/manslaughter.

Maybe I'm thinking further down the road... you do you in your situation if they come and I'll do me in my situation. I'll leave it all at that.

So you will go to jail for attempted murder/manslaughter. I think thats a 30+ year sentence.

  3. Before you buy everything, make sure its worth you time and money. http://www.trapshooters.com/rlcalcadv.htm

I just entered all the stuff I would need to reload and I even didn't include tax and Reloading for me would come out to 20 cent higher a box for 2 3/4 1 1/8 1200 FPS.

Where you can come out ahead would be if you bought big lots of primers, powder, shot, wads or if you shot 1 or 7/8 ounce shot.

Good luck!! I reload for 3 pistols and love it. There is just a way bigger advantage for pistol than shotgun.

  4. I had origanaly ordered a Browning and When I was told delivery would be four to six months. I switched horses and orderd an R1 walnut in 308 then I discoverd this forum. I was a little concered at all the negative posts on feeding issues, poor groups and failure to hold zero after disasembly for cleaning. I am happy to say that these are not a problem with my gun so far and I am very satisfied .

    Thats good!! Keep us posted.

  5. I've also been looking at those as well, to be honest i am also thinking of getting a pump just to save money, like a supernova or nova pump

You can't beat the nova line. There great guns. But if you can swing the money, I would go for an auto. I've been looking real hard at the m2 american.

  6. thats what i mean! haha i like the SBE II's capability to shoot the 3 1/2in but at the same time i feel i wouldnt use it enough for about $400 more you know?

You can look at the benelli American shotguns. The m2 is 799.00-899.00 and the sbeII is 1129.00-1200.00

  7. Looking to do a trade for a like new Dillon 650 reloading press.

The collapsible stock is brand new, never mounted.

I'd be interested in cash to, but my end goal is to end up with a Dillon 650.

    Lets work something out!

    Thanks

Problem with this is nobody wants to get rid of there dillons.

how much do you want for it? I just came back in the market for 1.

    Dillon 650's are $550 new.

  8. I don't shoot watermelon this time of year. They just sit around and don't pose much of a challenge.

Patterning boards taste to much like cardboard so I decide not to hunt them because I can't give them away.

Clays are ok with a little olive oil, pepper and garlic but my crockpot I broke and I don't have enough freezer space to store them.

chronographes have the Iron I need in my diet but being in Illinois, you may only shoot chronos in the air. I got tired of sitting all weekend for one to move.

I think I will just wait for duck season.

  9. You might want to double-check that. My very new Nova tac has a fixed choke.

The major difference, as I remember, is that the stock on the Super can be removed whereas the stock of the Nova is integral and can't be removed. Given the extreme cost of Benelli replacement stocks and the lack of any third-party options, I don't see that as a big factor - you should pick what you want carefully, since buying a replacement stock (or barrel) costs nearly as much as a whole new shotgun.

I believe the top of the receiver on the Super is also drilled and tapped for a rail - might be wrong about that.

You can get either rifle or ghost ring sights for either. My Nova tac has GRS. It was $325 OTD after the rebate. It's almost a steal at that price, IMO.

That's sucks. That's new. The older models came with IM,mod, full

  10. What's the difference between the Super Nova tactical and the Nova tactical aside from about $50 before the rebate?

I'm looking at the synthetic, 12GA 18" barrel, comfortech not the pistol grip, one has open rifle sights and the other ghost ring sights I think but I don't see much else different looking at the associated web pages for each - what am I missing?

The Nova tactical has screw-in chokes. Supernova tactical has fixed cylinder choke. That would be the desider for me.

  11. If everyone who THOUGHT they had the coolest whiz-bang high speed stuff in their closet (probly not real safes) got into one room and bumped peckers as to who had the hairiest chest. Those who list their toys like tatoos on forums are fools, We've seen 'em out there. Worth is relative to want, period. If I want to pay 900 for a 62A that's like new, that's why I put on my boots every day. but I won't SAY I payed 900 for a 62A (or a 62K Kar) cause that'd be arrogant. If a man wants to pay that cash for a little piece of elite, it's his bizness. All you non trained parts buyers out there, ther's a new purple laser that cuts the wings off of airplanes in the Sportsman's Guide catalog for 89 bucks, there's ONLY TWO LEFT!!!!!!!!

    I like this guy!!

  12. I drive a $60,000 car and I would still have to really think about buying a $400 C-stock for my $400 SNT. Especially when MSRP of said C-Stock is less than $180.

You drive a 60,000 dollar car that is worth 60,000 dollars or a 60,000 dollar car that msrp for 60,000 thats worth 32,000 dollars. Doesn't have a hitch so it doesn't mean crap to me. Just like a C-stock. Worthless.

  13. While cleaning my Nova I noticed my little O-ring that helps keep the pin in place that secures the firing pin is tore. Where can I find a replacement? Does it have to be Benelli? Just seems like a normal O-ring. Thanks!

I don't know where you can find it but I haven't had one on my guns in about 2 years with no problems.

  14. funny you say that. i almost bought it from him, but have my gun $$ for now going into my second class-III toy!! a full auto 5.56 m-4!! with suppressor of course!!:D i just cant believe how much they are these days!! my 1st F/A mac10 is almost mine. im half way thru the 2nd transfer. ^-^

Sounds fun!! Can't wait for some pictures.
