  1. It may help if you look at it this way - you're shooting hot gases down the barrel with lead projectiles. Should you be more concerned with that or what you clean the barrel with? Let's see...wipe the barrel with a certain cleaner or blast lead through it. Think logically.
  2. Emphasis his. Farbeit from anyone here to do something for the sole exception of having fun. Sukhoi, you take yourself far too seriously.
  3. Simpry send you bank account #, you social security # and you driving license # and photographing to Barrister John at [email protected] and you will be soon in receipt of your lawful inheritance of $17,000,000. USA. So kindly and justly appreciative of your goodness. Do please keep this faithful communication secretive so that unhonest persons will not make unlawful attempts to burden your awarde. Kind of Nigeiar, Barrister John
  4. That tube screams aftermarket due to the apparent color difference, which is really noticeable. The main thing though is that it works well, which is Job One.
  5. Heather there is no doubt a certain amount of satisfaction in receiving a new gun and being the first to shoot it. It sounds as though this is what you think your friend will prefer, and if I were in his place I would too. Consider this: he may decide to leave the gun box-stock, meaning that he may like it so much as he receives it that he might just want to leave it alone rather than add all manner of aftermarket parts.
  6. No kidding, really? Wow, thank you for solving that mystery Romeo Oscar Bravo. Just curious, do you wear cammie face paint to the range?
  7. Bello, Your paranoia is astounding, surpassed only by your lack of ability to spell. What's your deal 'Romeo Oscar Bravo'. Alpha One out. hahah.
  8. Just gotta love that...typical for this forum. ekasey, Sent you a PM with an idea. Good luck to you.
  9. Agreed. I don't know Unobtainium but from reading his posts and exchanging a few PMs I have concluded that he's a very bright guy and really knows his Benellis, especially the M4...this IMO would translate into a gun that isn't put together wrong or trashed. If I was in the market to buy a used, tricked out M4 I would not hesitate to contact him. Before you buy, please consider sending a PM to Unobtainium.
  10. Before you go to the trouble and expense, think about what you want to accomplish. Ghost rings are better than rifle/bead for 100 yard slug shots, but otherwise your rifle sights or a bead are perfectly workable on a weapon designed for closer range work. If you use your shotgun primarily for HD, I would suggest that you save your money.
  11. Tackelbarry, It was an absolute pleasure dealing with you. I hope all is well with you and yours.
  12. Specifically with reference to a HD situation, I think anything that diminishes night vision and/or that requires additional steps (finding/pushing buttons other than a safety, locating beam placement), tends to be a detriment rather than a help.
  13. Wow, that gun brings back such good memories...good luck with your sale...someone will own a classic! Almost tempted to buy it just for sentimental reasons. Rarely do I sell a gun that I don't regret it at some point...the mixed blessing of being a collector, I suppose.
  14. I know what you mean. It's kind of difficult, isn't it, to want to obey the letter and the spirit of the law but because of the obscurity of some provisions, being left with the feeling that one almost needs to hire an attorney to interpret the law. Criminals feel no such constraints of conscience. For those of us that are law-abiding gun owners, and I have no doubt that this includes all of us here, it is imperative that we engage in the political process and vote accordingly. It makes no sense whatsoever to ban a gun with a higher capacity magazine simply because of the stock configuration.
  15. You are very welcome. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask and I'll reply promptly. Thank you. m4p226n
  16. Thank you for that...I have no intention of this being an auction ad. I will leave that to GB. Thanks again!
  17. TKTM, Please see my post explaining this...when I originally wrote the ad I did include the updated price of $2375 but when Unobtainium sent me some terrific ideas to replace what I had written I cut/pasted over what I had written and obviously didn't notice that I cut/pasted over my price...that's why the title of the thread says 'updated price/info'...I originally included it, or at least I thought I did...I've posted it on another forum and on GB (no free shipping for the GB people) and honestly I'm starting to lose track of what I posted/where. Just trying to move it. I will be happy to answer any other questions that you have. I hope this clarifies things for you. Thank you.
  18. So sorry guys...I originally posted the price but Unobtainium actually re-wrote the ad for me and I cut/pasted it over my old ad but didn't re-post the price! He kindly sent me a PM telling me that I didn't post the price and I just got done seeing patients so I couldn't correct it until now. Because of the feedback I decided to lower the price by $425 to $2375 shipped/insured to CONUS. My mistake, very sorry! I have corrected the original ad. I will be happy to take offers as well. I listed it yesterday on GB with the updated info (but am not including shipping there) so if it sells there I will let you know. Thank you.
  19. Want to thank Unobtainium for volunteering invaluable input, on the forum and privately. Many thanks...he actually took the time to send me ideas to help the gun sell more quickly. Very much appreciated and wanted to let folks know here.
  20. After all of the hijacking and rancor on my last thread the mods wisely deleted it, so I want to start over. WTS: Benelli M4 Tactical LE model (#11721), purchased legally from an authorized Benelli LE dealer. $2375 shipped/insured to CONUS. Happy to take offers. It comes with a fully functional (recoil tube is milled to facilitate 3-position adjustment, unlike the civilian M1014's which also came with the C-stock but could not be used as such) factory-installed 3 position collapsible stock, luminous 3-dot sights (factory luminous paint, not tritium), and all paperwork, factory box, etc. It is unfired, factory new. The barrel is the 2 gas-port design (some older LE guns were sold with 4-port barrels and meant only for low-recoil ammunition) and takes interchangeable choke tubes (Benelli/Beretta "Mobil" chokes). All paperwork is included, and is what makes this gun unique versus an 11707 with an added C-stock. I am a purist, and I prefer the LE model designation. If that doesn't matter to you, you can piece one together by buying a standard 11707 and a factory collapsible stock. As for me, I like the LE designation and the fact that the factory installed the collapsible stock. If you have any questions, or if you would like to make an offer, let me know. Best, m4p226n
  21. Unobtainium, This is completely off-topic but I actually posted some nice conciliatory comments on my 'for sale' thread, and ironically find that it has now been deleted. I mention this only because I do appreciate the fact that I learned from you that the M4 luminous sights are in fact OEM and that Beretta does the assembling of Benelli's LE models, as you said. So you were correct about that and I appreciate it. I also wanted to let you know exactly what my profit margin was, although I'm sure it will be viewed as gouging by some - after shipping and transfer fees I paid almost exactly $1700 total for each of my LE M4s. Thus, mathematics being what it is, I hoped to make about $1000 profit (allowing about $100 for packaging/shipping/insurance). I just wanted to lay it out there for you. Hopefully in the future you and others will assume that I'm posting in good faith, never with the intention to lie or mislead anyone. I don't live my life that way. Thus ends the digression on your thread. Have a terrific day.
  22. Unobtanium, If you're a Vette enthusiast, and it sounds like you are, you really must go to Bowling Green (if that is still where Vettes are manufactured). I went for a factory tour about 10 years ago and it is amazing, you would really enjoy it. IIRC, at that time they were running 24 hours/day and assembled something like 48 Vettes/day. At the end of the production line it was very interesting to see them drive the car to the dyno station and run it up to speed, and test it for leaks under the pressurized shower machine. It was also very cool to see the display room where they keep the cars that people have paid extra for to pick up at the factory...they put a special plaque on the dash to commemorate it. It really was a very interesting tour and if they're still doing it I'm sure that you would enjoy it very much. I've owned a silver-blue 82 (my favorite), an 86 that I had customized, an anniversary 88 and a 98. I think that the 80-82 body style (long body) is the best looking of all. Back then, the 82 interior was very cheap-looking with much plastic, but since the late 90s GM has really done a fantastic job IMO of dressing up the interior. Bottom line is that for the money, it's hard to beat a Vette for the dollar:horsepower:fun factor ratio. Enjoy your ZO6...it is a beautiful vehicle. BTW, I give you one month before you get your first speeding ticket.
