  1. No big plans. Just doing what everyone else is doing for the most part. This will be number one version if I can get it back together. (NOTE taking apart a smith and wesson to take the lock out is not as easy as the youtube video would have you to believe. Sideplates come off easy but oh momma getting them back on is a religious experience as in "help me god please, oh no mister bill, etc") sorry back to topic. I think I will be picking up another m4 along the line and doing it differently - the sleeker more lighter version you expound on strangerdanger. Anyway just posted this picture as a joke and a reminder to many of what their shotguns once looked like in the zygote stage. I can only hope there is a place for humor on this board. I don't take myself too seriously nor should anyone else. but thanks for asking. I am not a die hard shooter - being older with arthritis I am more of a gentleman shooter. I went through a year of physical therapy for something called frozen shoulder I don't want to ever repeat that.

Hey now...Zygote??? Not sure what you just called all of us but I am pretty sure some of us are offended.

  2. i guess you dont read too well. that was in 1971, i was 7. yes i agree you sell everything before breaking the law. and thats what my dad did. T H A T S W H Y W E O N L Y H A D A 22 MAG.DONT CONFUSE MY EXPLAINATION FOR AN EXCUSS. IVE MADE MY APOLIGIES, AND IM DONE TRYING TO EXPLAIN IT TO EVERYONE. i guess i should ave sold my hotwheels.

Do you still have those Hot Wheels? If so see if they are red lines (red color on the walls of the tires.) They will be worth alot of money to a collector.

  3. Yeah I live at home, so what.

At least my parents were able to teach me how to be responsible.

Were your parents lacking in that catagory.....?? I think so

So whats it like being a 45 year old man who is less responsible then an 18 year old kid? That must suck because Id be a little disappointed in myself if I were you.

Alright you guys. I want a good clean fight, no hitting below the belt, now shake hand and go to your respective corners and and the sound of the bell come out fighting.

    (DING)

  4. it will be pen raisded over dogs...

    thanks timb!

They will let you get right up on them. Dogs will flush out a few. I have literally kicked pen raised in the rear to get them to fly off. I don't consider them to sporty but it gives newer hunters confidence in the beginning.

  5. I have a Montefeltro 20ga. Youth stock, 26" barrel. I want to sell it, as it doesn't fit and Im more fond of sxs and pumps. I'd like to know what a reasonable selling price would be for it. Here is a description of the damage details:

    • There is a little metal wear on the edge of the trigger guard, very minute.
    • The buttstock has minute scratches that show up in the light, and a handful of small dents in the side.
    • No rust, around 100 shots through it.
    • 4 different chokes and the original case

I figure this gun is roughly 90% condition overall. Im thinking somewhere in the range of $700 to $850 would be reasonable?

Im probably going to replace it with a Nova. Since Im opening a thread, I might as well ask about those. I want to use it as a general purpose shooter. Coyotes, upland birds, HD, etc. I don't really hunt waterfowl or turkey, but I do find Benelli pistol grips to be quite comfortable.

Im wondering what the shortest length barrel is I can get that still has interchangeable chokes. Also, just to clarify, a Weaver 423m scope base is the one to use for a Nova?

If you are going pumpget the Super Nova.

  6. hi, new to forum and a new owner of sbell, love the gun have duck hunted twice no problems, but I hear all kinds of stories about malfuction.

Paying the price of the gun I would hope there are no problems, at least thats what the gun dealer said!

Help me out guys what do I need to know, cleaning, adjustments, etc.

    Thanx in advance, Tony

You should not have any problems with it. I am a little OCD with mind. Each time I take it out I strip it, clean it and oil it. It continues to perform fantastic for me. I only use it for shot not slugs. That is one thing California has not take is our rifles.
