  1. A well set up 20 can be just good as a 12. I preffer 12 because there are more options as far as shells and chokes. My 870 supper mag turkey camo 12 fits just like a youth 20.
  2. I will be shooting at 27 next year but I dont want to get 2 chokes maybe I will just bring my stock full choke if I notice the improved modified is not patterning tight enough.
  3. I am only going to get one choke to save money do you think a modified will work for handicap and doubles or should i get an improved modified?
  4. thanks alot i think i am going to get some briley titans i found some on sale $30 off i still am hesitant about paying that much for a choke but they are good chokes.
  5. I have a max4 super nova with a 28" barrel. I have only had it for 3 months but honest to God it has over 2500 rounds through it. Most of these rounds are light rounds but its seen slugs, buckshot, steelshot, hevishot, 3.5 turkey loads you name it. I shoot trap, exhibition and skeet in my back yard every day. I go to a certified trap field every weekend with it and went turkey hunting with it. I have shot a 25/25 lots of 24's and never under 20. This gun is an extension of my body. It isnt my dream gun, but a good gun for the price. PROS-Light, reliable, durable, looks great, points good CONS-shoulders wierd at first, choke is sticky, the tab on the bottom comes up where you cant load a shell sometimes If you are looking for a pump in this price range get this or an 870.
  6. I was wandering if a light modified choke would pattern tight enough for trap shooting I normally use a modified choke but I am wanting to get some new chokes does anyone use a light modified choke for trap shooting? Keep in mind I am talking about trap where your 16 yards from the trap house. Also I normally shoot 1 1/8 oz. loads but I will use some 1 oz. loads as well will they pattern tight enough in a light modified to never miss because of a loose pattern?
  7. I was wandering if a light modified choke would pattern tight enough for trap shooting I normally use a modified choke but I am wanting to get some new chokes does anyone use a light modified choke for trap shooting?
  8. If after all that doesnt work and your warranty is good send it back and benelli will problably replace the barrel free
  9. Im not sure but I think it is supposed to sit above the rail and if its to high try putting a higher comb on it like this one: http://www.ableammo.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=104281
  10. You should get this choke: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0054468229049a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCHFEAT_all&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&Ntk=Products&QueryText=briley+turkey&sort=all&Go.y=0&_D%3AhasJS=+&N=0&Nty=1&hasJS=true&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jsp.form23&Go.x=0&_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1 and use this ammo: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0031734215832a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCHFEAT_all&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&Ntt=federal+turkey&Ntk=Products&sort=all&Go.y=0&_D%3AhasJS=+&N=0&_D%3Asort=+&Nty=1&hasJS=true&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jsp.form1&Go.x=0&_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1
  11. There is a 3rd way out. Buy a Super Nova. Steady grip doesn't make much difference. You dont need an auto for turkey. The super nova has the same comfort tech system as the super black eagle II, the ability to shoot 3.5s, and the price of the stoeger. But if you want a cheap camo 3.5" turkey gun that will last forever you have to get this 870 http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/shotguns/model_870/model_870_express_super_magnum_turkey_camo.asp
  12. If I were you I would use federal flite stopper 3" #5
  13. you problably dont want to invest in a scope your first year turkey hunting. A double bead will work ok or you can put some clip on rifle sights. I would get a turkey choke and see how you shoot at 45 yards and then see if you think you need rifle sights or a scope
  14. I recently purchased a Benelli supernova and it is shooting a little higher than I like. I know how to change out the shims but I have no idea what the letters mean. It comes with a b c & z shims. Since Ill be using this gun for mostly bird and trap shooting I want it so I can aim a little more under the target. I need to know which letter will allow me to shoot under the target the most.
