My manly (as evidenced by my ability to change the M4 Tube w/o a strap wrench), yet smaller hands have difficulty with larger framed pistols. It makes me sad...

As a preference issue, i tend to not like the way glock's feel in my hand. I know they're good guns I just don't enjoy shooting them I'd take a CZ or a Sig over a Glock :X 1911's are probably the most aesthetically pleasing guns in my opinion, which is why i own one. And the grip and feel of the way it shoots makes me feel happy... But i'd probably use one of the aforementioned guns in my post as a weapon of choice in a "combat" situation.

Thanks for your replies it was very informative. I can now consider myself educated about "stopping/knock down power". Though I've never considered ever using my gun against a living person (zombies aren't living), I find guns and their inner workings extremely interesting. Hypothetical is always pretty entertaining. Well this being read it seems that 9mm would be best due to the higher magazine capacity. However, regarding penetration which of the rounds has enough penetration without over-penetrating the target? Assuming a quality hollow point ammunition is used.

since this thread has seemingly already been derailed... and people are talking about handguns and calibers. What are the ups and downs of the calibers from members of this forum (the main three: 9mm, .40 sw, .45acp) and which is your preference? I've been reading all over and it seems each of them receive an ample amount of hate and support... the .40 sw getting the most hate so far.

I agree your best bet would be to get an aftermarket camo if you really want it that badly. I guess i'll never understand the appeal of camo though... i'm more of a classic wood or synthetic look kind of person. but that's just me, everyone's different after all.

Hey, not that I endorse going around killing animals needlessly, but you can't really imply that they're on the same level. I'd send deer into extinction before killing an innocent person (pretending it wouldn't throw the ecosystem out of balance).
