Ok, that is interesting. Now I understand what you're talking about. To your knowledge has Mossberg done anything to correct this issue?
I didn't drop my gun but, I used a plastic pen tip cover to manually push in the pins and I was able to dislodge them from the retain holes.
My gunsmith called Mossberg about this well known issue (he mentioned to the Mossberg contact all the various online references regarding this) and they denied any knowledge of it.
This is an easy and relatively cheap remedy for a competent gunsmith.

All Mossys with the same lifter design are subject to becoming inoperative upon dropping. I had a gunsmith put a permanent fix on my Shockwave after I was able to get the lifter on my Shockwave to fall out of position on the second drop from about 10" onto carpet over a hard floor with no padding. A hard enough blow and that lifter is popping out of position for sure.
Jump to 5:40 in this video to see it for yourself.

Be careful not to drop that Mossy, Mossys break VERY easily when dropped from a height as little as 10" from my experience (unless that design defect has been corrected). And if it DOES break when you drop it, DO NOT try to work the slide, correct the problem (pins out of their holes in receiver, to correct, get pins back into appropriate holes in receiver).

One needs to keep one's piece as light as possible for fast handling (not to mention adding length)...JMO. Speed is life. A nanosecond could mean the difference between looking at the grass from the green side or the brown side.

Barrel assembly is still available.

Would that much friction with the bronze brush damage the barrel?
Use a Hoppe's tornado brush with a cordless drill -

Are you anticipating some hand to hand combat??

Aimpoint T2 or H2 is my preferred choice for several platforms.

Anyone telling you to be compliant, is just looking to profit off of selling you parts.
And FYI, while I don't encourage others to open themselves up to exposure to the potential for real trouble I also don't sell 'compliance' parts and never have. Of course 922(r) shouldn't exist. Again your logic is flawed.
It's extremely irresponsible to encourage others to potentially do anything which will draw the attention of Johnny Fed.

FYI, The Benelli has nothing to do with 922(r), since it can be imported to the USA. I don't know anyone who has banned the Benelli M4 from importation in any state (double check your localities). Anyone telling you to be compliant, is just looking to profit off of selling you parts. Again, that gun ain't banned in any configuration from importation to the USA. There are military and civilian models, both are imported to USA. So, what are we talking about.
An AK-47 on the other hand, you'd be hard pressed getting one in the states, and therefore would have to "assemble it from domestic parts, having no more than 10 imported parts." Bc that gun is HOT (meaning, suspect af).It appears your logic is flawed. IF a Benelli M4 with a 'high capacity magazine' and/or a 'collapsible stock' configuration is prohibited from being imported and sold to anyone except military and police in the USA then how does 922(r) not apply to 'neutered' Benelli M4s???
Anyone selling a +2 mag extension for a Benelli M4 should include a 922(r) warning, otherwise they're just greedy looking to sell parts to the willfully ignorant.

George Washington was a fan of public education.
I seriously doubt George Washington would approve of the .gov indoctrination centers created by Rockefeller to crank out dumbed down obedient workers. Look where we are now because of the public fool system.

Nice kit.
You're right, the Sionyx is a way cool tool, not for serious work, no one should consider otherwise.

I got a Sionyx and ditched it because of the latency issue, plus it mounts poorly on a helmet (tilted). Sure, the color is cool and the twilight setting is definitely a plus but no equivalent to a PVS-14.

Sorry, I meant $475 shipped as in the OP.

I'm willing to part these out, i.e. either barrel less pistons and plugs - $275.00 shipped, pair of pistons and plugs (two each) $300 shipped.

It's just a standard Benelli M4 18" barrel just like all the others with removable chokes. It comes with the one original choke.

The furry part whatever you want that works. The shell holding elastic part? Vang Comp is the only one I like. Ive used esstac and soe, and the Vang is night and day better.
Vang Comp only shows availability for Remington and Mossy shotguns, nothing for a Benelli.
not a Benelli but i picked this up yesterday and thought it might interest a few of you here.
