ALSO: Looking for a good pressure-switch light to put on my M4. That's possibly what I want the most, for home security... My cousin had one for his M1, but I cannot for the life of me remember what kind he had.

After researching on these forums a bit, I found several people recommend this sling: http://www.spectergear.com/benelli_cqb_sling.htm The sight has no mention of an M4, but I'm assuming it's compatible as well?
Also, I'm looking to possibly con my wife into getting me some sort of optic sight for my M4 for Christmas... Anyone have one outfitted that they like? Red dot, perhaps?
Finally, anyone have any butt stock shell holders that they recommend? The ones on the site above look pretty good, but again, not mention of M4's so I'm hoping they're compatible.

These are a picture of the pistons, yes? The two protruding metallic pieces on either side of the barrel? I apologize for my ignorance, but the Benelli manual is far from helpful.

Thank you all for the advice, I cleaned mine after downloading a manual for it online. Regarding the pistons: They are the silver pieces on the tip of the bolt carrier, am I correct? The part that you can depress with your finger, and it pops back?
My last question: The strap loop that you put a carrying strap through towards the tip of the weapon LOOKS like you can move it ninety degrees either way (to place the strap on either side of the weapon) but I have been unable will all my messing with it to do so. Any help there?
Again, thank you for all the help thus far, it's greatly appreciated.

So I posted a thread a week or so ago, and with the advice of people on this forum, bought my very first shotgun. It's the M4, and I just shot 25 shells through it, and I'm pretty sure it's love at first sight.
Anyways, I've never owned/shot a shotgun before, and I've always been taught to clean a gun after each shoot, but the Benelli owner's manual says that it really isn't necessary. I know I can clean the barrel, but is there anything else I should do?
Also, I called the sheriff department today and asked about the legality of a collapsible stock or extension tube, and they were far from helpful. I'm sure this has been beaten to death, but are EITHER legal for a Missouri resident?
My primary question is regarding the proper cleaning procedures, and any advice would be helpful.
Thanks all!

Ahh... Well I'm more than a little embarrased. Thanks for the help

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the difference between a 11707 and an IMHO? What is an easy way to tell the difference?

Ok, so I just left our local gun store here in town, and they had a Benelli M4 for sale. I've been looking for one for a couple years now, but no one seems to be able to get them in stock. They're asking $1500 for it, and it has a fixed stock and (I believe) a five round tube. He said it did NOT have the extension on it, so it only holds a few shells. My questions are these: Is this a good buy? Will I be able to purchase and attach a collapsible stock after-market, and will I be able to extend the tube to hold more shells? I'm extremely new to shotguns, but have used the M4 a little when deployed overseas with the Marine Corps, so I'm wanting to make it as "military" as possible. Any help will be appreciated!
Just bought my brand new M4! Couple questions...
