  1. Got the FFT 1/2" handle on, as well as the BMT 1" flashlight mount. Sling (not shown) is a LaRue padded w/ QD on both ends.
  2. bought new -- I transfered the part in question from the steel oem mag tube to the kip 7-round tube. Afterwards, I shot and disassembled/cleaned the shotgun about 5 separate times/sessions. The last time I disassembled it, I removed the cap and about 10 seconds later the snap ring thing popped out (very violently) sending it and the mag spring flying. Never could find the part.
  3. Thank you both -- you linked to the correct part.
  4. Hi, I have a recent production M4 shotty w/ Kip's Ti tube. I was field stripping the weapon last week and a few seconds after I removed the magazine plastic thread on cap - I hear a little mini-explosion and the magazine spring goes flying 20 feet into the air. I found the magazine spring - but can not for the life of me find the magazine spring retainer assemnly (the one with the little snap ring on it to keep the spring in the tube when the plastic cap is off). Does anybody have one I can buy from them or know of anywhere where I can get one of these little parts? Thanks, Cal
  5. Larue padded 2-point w/ sewn in QD fittings. Rear QD fitting in my C-stock is from Mesa Tactical, front is a BMT 1" flashlight mount & QD combo
  6. I agree #1 is a more optimal choice against people at under 40 yards. However, there are very few top-quality (i.e. LE quality) #1 loads to be found. I buy either Winchester Ranger or Federal LE and I don't believe either sells a #1 load. I just bought a case of Federal LE slugs and am considering using those as my 1st string load.
  7. I keep the rifle below at my bedside, loaded w/ 30 Hornady 8126N 75gr OTM rounds. 10 more 30 round mags loaded in a grab & go bag. I also keep the Benelli below within arms reach, loaded w/ 9 rounds of Federal 2.75" OO Buck
  8. I have a M4 and want to remove the factory front sling mount. Is there any reason I cant just remove it by using snap ring pliers and removing the snap ring and the sling mount? I installed a QD sling & flashlight mount combo and the factory sling mount is just in the way now.
  9. Just ordered mine from Botach - recessions are awesome!
  10. OK -- so can you indeed install the OEM rubber grip onto the Urbino??? Also - I'm planning on ordering an Urbino today -- I have a Aimpoint H-1 in a short LaRue mount on a Sidearmor rail/saddle - it doesnt seem to me that I would need the cheekriser as the OEM stock height was good for my sight picture. Can anyone running a similar setup (T-1/H-1 w/ shortest mount) chime in?
  11. Thanks for the replies -- I'll order a rear QD adapter from Mesa w/ the stock.
  12. I did see that thread. Let me refine my question: When using an Urbino stock, what are the options for installing a female QD receptacle on the rear of the shotgun (i.e. rearward of the trigger)? I know Mesa Tactical has a QD female product that works w/ the C-Stock - but not with Urbino or fixed stock. I prefer the QD fittings to the alternatives because I only pop on my slings when going out to the field - I keep them removed when the firearms are in the house in their home defense positions. All my other long guns are QD front and rear. This also saves me on slings as I have less slings than long guns that are QD sling ready to go. Thanks
  13. Hi, I have an M4 w/ Kip's full length tube, an Aimpoint H-1 in a Larue Mount, and soon to have the Urbino w/ cheek riser. I need to get front and rear QD fittings so I can use my existing LaRue QD slings. The Urbino was originally supposed to come with a built in QD - but I guess it got dropped. Any tips on how to mosty effeciently do this?
  14. I did it using a gas stove to heat the magazine to receiver junction. Of course I held the shotgun high above the burner to avoid excessive heat. It worked just fine. Having a handheld heat gun would be better but I was trying to do it cheap.
  15. Hi, I recently bought an M4 with the fixed, rediculously long LOP stock. I would like to put a C-stock on it. I knopw that LEOs can order C-stocks for about $200 from somewhere? Can active duty US Militray order these as well? If so, where? Thanks, Cal PS: I am aware of the Urbino and that is my plan B
