  1. Believe me... I want everyone to make a profit. But not be overly crazy. 2 stamps in a poly envelope would have got it here the same way for under a dollar.

Sure, but "2 stamps in (sic) a poly envelope" won't protect you against credit card chargebacks or provide any assurance your customer received the product. Also, "2 stamps" won't hardly mail anything in a poly envelope, bubble envelope, etc. these days unless you have dollar stamps.

  2. Cut these guys slack, they are not a giant machine shop banging out product all day long. In all my time here I have never been aware of anyone complaining about the product quality once they receive it.

If that is towards me, I believe I am cutting them quite a bit of slack, I was originally told it would be three months, it has now been six months and looks like seven months is the current estimate.

I posted so that others like me can potentially gauge their situation without necessarily having to bother Carrier Comp to receive the same information. I personally appreciated those that were providing their updates.

  3. Just received my tube yesterday the 12th, ordered again on Jan 13th.

I placed an order 2 days after yours (Jan 15th), and I'm still waiting.

I just received mine (finally!) on Saturday, 7/13.

As I previously noted, I ordered mine January 20th and hadn't seen it yet. So I contacted Carrier Comp and received the following:

We are starting to send out orders from the third week of January now, but the bad news is there were hundreds of orders in January alone, that is what is really slowing things down! It looks like we have a couple of batches to go before we get to yours. Barring any unforeseen obstacles, yours should be ready to go in a couple of weeks. You will receive an auto-generated e-mail when I create the shipping labels, which I typically do a few days before the items ship. We use Priority Mail for shipping, which takes 3 or 4 days. Thank you again for your patience!

    Sincerely,

    Marcy Carrier

    carriercomp!

Looks like I still have a few weeks to wait, hard to believe a one week difference in ordering is resulting in a five to six week difference in delivery but I guess when you receive 100s of orders in one month...

  4. I placed an order 2 days after yours (Jan 15th), and I'm still waiting. I contacted CC & apparently I'm looking at receiving mine sometime in July or maybe even August. Hopefully we should be receiving them around the same time. Hope this helps!

I ordered January 20th, I hope to see it in a similar time frame, please keep us updated.

  5. The salesman at the store said the original designer ran out of start-up funding, so TD apparently bought the licensing rights and made the device out of a little stronger polymer than the original design.

Not sure I am buying that based on following the kickstarter campaign from start to finish.

I have three of the IO covers.

  6. I haven't entirely broken mine in. It did not like Fiocchi Low Recoil 00 2 3/4" shells.

And I was able to cycle Fiocchi Low Recoil 00 2 3/4" shells in my M4 during the first 25 rounds, so were two of my friends.

  7. CC - All we can say for sure is that it will be at least 5 months from the time the order was placed.

    ...and....

rbuzz - So while I am anxiously awaiting my magazine tube and it is frustrating at times, I appreciate the fact that Carriercomp is still dedicated to the high quality that they are known for. It must be frustrating for them also to face the problems that they are facing while trying to maintain their high quality standards and still getting the product out the door. I will continue to wait, knowing that when I finally do get my order, it will be the high quality that we have come to expect from Carriercomp.

Appreciate the update, I ordered in January so I am hoping I see my tube in June.

  8. Couldn't someone just "make" an H2O version for ~2800? But I suppose I'm looking at it from the point of using it instead of just collecting one.

Sure, one of my local gun shops where I bought my M4 has basically been doing the "H2O" version of the M4 for a few years directly with Robar. Rumor at their shop is the reason Benelli started doing the H2O is that Robar told Benelli what they were doing for this particular gun shop and Benelli ran with the idea (albeit not too successfully when the BATF stepped in).

  9. I thought Titanium was stronger than steel?

If it's stronger than steel, why does it wear though? Not sure I understand...

I answered this for you about a month ago the last time you asked:

    http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php/28458-Charging-Handle-FFT-vs-CarrierComp?p=177363#post177363

Titanium has a better strength-to-weight ratio than most steel, but titanium is much less dense than steel is more prone to deformation. Aluminum also has a better strength-to-weight ratio than high strength steel but as you probably know, aluminum will deform more easily than steel.
  10. lighter yes, but at 3 times the cost

    and to wait 6 months?

the m4 is never going to be a lightweight

i thought about the carrier comp just didn't make sense to me

why worry about an ounce of weight when i plan on adding a side saddle, rail, light

if you want a lightweight gun, buy something else

I don't plan to add a side saddle and rail. The light I have is one of the lightest ones available as it my red dot and that is all that adorns my M4. IMO, the M4 is plenty heavy, adding all the rounds only exacerbates the problem, I'll take weight savings where I can get it, particularly the further away from my body. To each their own.

I just checked two sites for the DMW, looks like it was out of stock as well.

  11. Hi everyone. Just wanted to provide you with the lead time for my Benelli BM4-TiFLMT+S-"DG" Full Length Magazine Tube from Kip at CarrierComp. I placed my order for the magazine Tube on December 26th 2012, and received a shipping confirmation yesterday. Can't wait to get it.

Thanks for sharing, quite helpful and nice to see they continue to work on their backlog. Seeing progress is encouraging, particularly for us that ordered in January.

  12. "I'm afraid my initial estimate of 3 months may have been a bit premature. We have encountered an unforeseen problem, which is our suppliers not being able to keep up with all the raw materials needed to complete such a high volume of orders! It is difficult to say with any certainty at all, but I am going to have to extend the expected lead time to about 4 months from your order day, which would still be a couple of months from now. We are sorry to have to give you bad news, and can understand if you do not want to continue to wait. Please let us know. Thanks!"

I emailed them on March 7th (I ordered mid-January) and I was told orders placed in December and January were going to be 3-4 months, I am still hopeful I will see my tube by mid-May. According to an eariler post:

    http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php/31954-carriercomp-lead-times-on-tubes-anyone-get-theirs?p=177561#post177561

Their December order came in at 3 1/2 months from their order date.

  13. Just make one yourself for under $2400. First buy from local dealer for $1699

    (1) send it to robar guns where benelli sent their H2O guns to be plated (NP3) but now they have a better plating NP3+

    (2) buy ATI Raven collapsible stock (for 922c compliance)

    (3) buy FL 7+1 tube from SOCOMguy on this forum, also for 922c compliant (send to robar guns for plating)

New math? No way you replicate the H2O for less than $2,400. A stock M4 for $1,700 plus Robar's coating of $500+ already has you north of $2,200. Add to that a full length tube ($150) and a original collapsible stock (not that crap from ATI or Pro-Mag) for a minimum of $500 and you are at $2,850 total.

I concur though, building your own H2O makes more financial sense.

More than paying absurd prices I suppose (i.e., north of $3,000 for the H2O), I am still holding out hope my order is filled with Benelli. May be wishful thinking.

  14. If he really is a friend then you'd sell it to him for what you paid.

What if the OP overpaid? How do you know the party interested didn't say "find out what the current market price is and I'll pay that"?

Sorry I can't really help on the tube value.
