  1. Like I said, we'll see. I'm not convinced that the Urbino is inherently unhelpful or somehow not a good stock to use on the M4. I'm not sure why he felt a need to take the stock off if he was just cleaning his Benelli. By the way, I looked through Mesa's own forums to see your comments there debating with Mesa the wisdom, or lackthereof, of requiring a tool to take off the stock, but then I noticed our own Kevin Brentz doing his Kevin thing there. He even threatened somebody by showing off his M4 and then got himself spanked pretty good. Hilarious. Here's the thread, and you can start reading here just for fits and giggles: http://www.mesatactical.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=1951#p1951 Funny stuff actually. Next thing you know, I may find a video of Kevin Brentz being interviewed by his local television station, whining about his power not being on because it is not fair other people have their power on. LOL.
  2. I decided to go the full length mag tube route and do not need this, opened it up once, put it on, never used it, took it off and back in the package it went. This is for the M4 Benelli, only. $35, shipped. First "I'll take it" gets it. USPS Money Order only. Only ships to USA addresses. No trades. Here's what you get:
  3. Here's another useful Q/A on 922r compliance: http://freedomfightertactical.com/922r-faq/
  4. Ldo1, keep asking questions until you understand, there are a lot of helpful people on this forum who will be happy to lend a hand.
  5. Well, I torqued it down good and proper and it didn't loosen up the rest of the range session. We'll see how it holds up, but I'm happy with it at this point. I had not adequately tightened it when I was working on it the other day. Did the guy who got "socked in the face" experience a catastrophic failure, or did he just fail to check if the stock was loose and tighten it up?

Break it in with heavy buckshot loads, is usually the advice you'll get. Then, you can shoot anything through it. Make sure you have it well lubricated before you take it out for the first time.
  7. Yes, it can be confusing. What you need to do is sit down and look at the parts listed below, and check off the parts your shotgun has. YES, you can not “ASSEMBLE” a shotgun with MORE than ten foreign parts on it. BUT…you lawfully purchased an imported shotgun, so …. The key is that you can NOT slap more parts on it from the list below UNLESS they are made in the USA. That’s why we who want to add the full length magazine tube know we have to replace other Italian parts with USA. The least expensive route is to swap out trigger, hammer, disconnector with USA made parts. I, on the other hand, like some people wanted to replace my butt stock and wanted a rail forend, so, I was good to go after adding my full length magazine tube. Let me show you how I did with my Benelli M4. Here is the list of parts that 922r pertains to, so, in the case of my M4, of this list of twenty mine *had*: I replaced the butt stock, the magazine tube, the follower, the pistol grip, with USA made parts. So, I’m ok. If however I had purchased an Italian full length magazine tube, or replaced the stock and forend with an Italian made version of those, I’d be in trouble. Similarly, some guys want to add the Italian made Beretta collapsing stock, so they have to adjust accordingly. No more than ten foreign parts from that list. Make sense?
  8. You know you love it. You flatter me with your continual kind attention, sir.
  9. Here is a video of the M4 being fired, after modification. Worked like a charm! If any of you have a Benelli M4, I'd love to see pics and here about your experiences, or, for that matter, how many of you have a shotgun you have modified, and if so, how? Here's the video: http://youtu.be/cwBahpQoJJ8?hd=1 ..
  10. Fun times at the old gun club yesterday. Love the angled foregrip and the Urbino stock. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwBahpQoJJ8
  11. Short answer: Yes, replacing the butt stock with a US made butt stock counts, since the butt stock is one of the parts listed in the regulation. 922r compliance can be confusing, here is a very well done explanation: http://www.tapco.com/section922r/
  12. I'd still like to know why he hasn't even shot his M4 yet.
  13. Oh, go ahead, give it a try...send it on over. : )
  14. Well, there you go, this is what is wrong: you are not using it enough!!!! You can send it to me and I'll use it a lot more and I'll be careful cleaning it too. But, seriously, dude ... nine hours cleaning a shotgun you've put less than 100 rounds through? You have to be pulling our legs.
  15. Nothing "wrong" ... just not necessary, that's all. But, hey, if you had fun and you wanted to do it, it's a free country. You might want to consider not waiting a year between cleanings. And you only shot 60 rounds through it one year? Now that's wrong.
  16. Nine hours???? Wow, what exactly did you do for nine hours?
  17. Thanks to everyone who has contacted me about the video, appreciate it, glad to hear it has been helpful to you guys.

    C-Rums !

That's interesting, why does a longer tube improve ease of loading?

    C-Rums !

Definitely want to get some work done on my loading port, for whatever reason, after installing the full length mag tube from Kip, it is easier to load.
  20. Face it, they are all beautiful.
