  1. I went to the range with my M4 today and decided to shoot all bird shot. I didn't have one malfunction! I just thought I'd post this since there are some who say M4's jam with bird shots.
  2. Yeah, I noticed those two holes and when I looked inside where the piston goes I noticed holes in there. So I put two and two together. I've read about that tornado brush. Where can I get one? Yes, I also read that thread you are referring to so I definitely made sure of that when I installed my FFT forend.
  3. I had some free time on Sunday and decided to take the M4 to the range. I only shot slugs through it and it ran 100%. I can now see wear marks from where the shell extracts. My Mesa stock didn't loosen up either, but I did tighten the stock down really good when I installed it. After shooting it, I cleaned it. During the cleaning I noticed a sh*t load of crap in my barrel. I thought "Ok, that's normal... I see this in all my guns I shoot". However, I could not and still can't get all of that crap out of the barrel. The inside of the barrel is actually marinading in CLP. I noticed little by little some of the debris has been coming out and it's actually metal shavings. Which I believe is from the slug. Have you guys ever experienced this? Seems like it's going to take a good amount of time before I get the barrel nice and clean like it was before I shot it. I also noticed after shooting it that the end cap just came slightly loose. I was able to turn it about 2-3 clicks. Before shooting it I wasn't able to twist the cap on any tighter.
  4. Wow, you ripped off 9 shots QUICK!!!! Another sweet vid though and I like the modifications you've done. I torqued down my Mesa stock and when I finally shoot it I'll report back. By the way, to answer your question I haven't shot it yet because I haven't had time. I was supposed to go last week, but my friend flaked.
  5. Good idea... I'll give it a try. I agree!!!
  6. I got it for the 922r crap, but I now know I didn't need it.
  7. I installed the FFT forend yesterday and it's actually a great quality piece in my opinion. It looks practically identical to the factory forend. The only difference I was able to see was the tongue & groove. The FFT forend makes a little cracking or squeaking sound, but only when I squeeze it pretty hard. I read the thread and watch the vid that TKTM started. Everything that he mentioned does still exist, but it doesn't bother me. If anyone does decide to get one I would recommend it. It also fit great and I had no problems getting it on. My Mesa Tactical also came in today which was a day early, but I'm not complaining. Ha... This is a pretty nice stock and I wasted no time installing it. The LOP is awesome, but the factory LOP isn't bad at all. I don't know why a lot of people complain about it and I'm only 5'8". I really bought this stock for the limb saver and its nice and squishy just as I hoped. I'm happy with it so far (I haven't shot the M4 yet). One thing I don't like about this stock is, the trouble of reinstalling the trigger housing. I installed the stock before the trigger housing and I had to take off the stock to install it. Is there another way of doing this without having to take off the stock? Another thing that bothered me was the gap behind the trigger guard. The piece of the stock that's supposed to go up against the guard is a little short, hence the gap. Anyone else's Mesa stock like this? Overall, I'm happy with the forend and stock. I'll give a range report once I shoot it. By the way... what do the factory M4 pistol grips sell for? CarrierComp full length tube, charging handle, & sling are next!!
  8. I just installed mine today and it's definitely a quality part.
  9. Cool, awesome thread with the pictorials. It'll help everyone out whoever does this.
  10. Pic added! The finish looks to be the Robar Poly T-2 finish in gun metal gray.
  11. Haha, yeah I saw those links in another thread. I spoke to Benelli about the finishes a few weeks ago. The guy I spoke with said "As far as I know, the finish hasn't changed". I won't be able to make it to the gun show this weekend. I went to the last one though, but didn't find anything I was really interested in. Some of the things I saw seemed to be the same price anywhere else. The gun show isn't bad if you plan on buying a lot of ammo though.
  12. Funny how you would reply with those pics. I know people here have been attacking you and I wasn't one of them so move along now...
  13. I bought a 2nd Benelli M4 on September 1st and picked it up today (911). I noticed that there's a difference in the finish compared to my other M4. The new one has a more glossy finish while the other one is more of a flat finish. It's actually very noticeable and it looks quite nice too. Anyone buy a M4 recently and notice this? [/url]
  14. I know there's quite a few members here who replaced their hammer. I don't know if it was difficult though.
  15. Another great vid! How do you like the Mesa Tactical grip vs the stock one? Some say it's to squared in the rear. I guess if it's not comfortable to me I'll just swap the grip for the factory one.
  16. Thanks for the reply. I'll install it without the locktite too then.
  17. I read you didn't put locktite on the threads. How has it been so far? Has it loosened up after several rounds? I think I may install mine without locktite.
  18. Just placed an order for these 2 and all I need now is a CarrierComp full length tube & two black charging handles.
  19. What happened to your other thread? Great contributions to the Benelli M4 community by Amsdorf & Stranger.
  20. Will this sling fit my on my M4 with the factory sling attachments? I don't want to buy any aftermarket loops. If this will work with my M4 as it came from the factory then I'm going to order it. http://www.blueforcegear.com/vickers-padded-sling/
