And you would win that bet I don't personally find the c-stock crap at all. The Promag c-stock is similar to, although of lesser quality, than the OEM c-stock and the buttpad seems to be much harder on the promag. I just did not like the feel of the one Urbino stocked gun I shouldered. That was just a fitment for my frame issue and I never shot the gun.

Ok, I have to apologize for my complete inability to comprehend what I read until I just read it two more times. I now see that Hardcharger was not complaining about a lack of quick response to his question, rather was saying 22 views and no problems reported. I am sorry that I misunderstood and that I was an arse in the process.

It is supposed to remedy the thumb bite that the carrier can cause because of the front cutout. I have never had a thumb bite from the OEM carrier personally even with stuffing the shells as fast as I can but others have reported losing a nail or skin. I bend the distal joint of my thumb and use the knuckle to push the carrier out of the way while I stuff the shell into the mag tube with the tip of my thumb. The carrier stays out of the way until I remove my thumb completely by pulling it backwards, dragging my knuckle on the carrier until it has cleared the front. No way for me to get bit. Sometimes the method needs to be changed, not the part. As far as the edge of the receiver hurting you, it sounds like you need to file down the size of your gorilla thumb :-P.

Those kind of impatient, accusatory, and inflammatory follow ups by the op, especially only 3 hours after the original question, certainly aren't going to make me, and I dare say many people, even with experience with the product, want to reply. SD is just that nice of a guy apparently...

I've never had any problems with Winchester or Remington shells in my M4 although I've only used them for practice - and a lot of them. Federal (or other brands made by Federal) is what I've always used at work. Winchesters haven't been the cleanest of the shells I've fired but my M4 will fire in essentially any condition so the worst is it takes an extra pass or two to clean it after using the "crappy" shells.

I love the Benelli oil. But like truckcop says... take your pick. They are all excellent and suck at the same time. Zero polishing done here and zero failures to date. 100% reliable so far - don't know how I could improve on that.

Nice idea. Completely eliminates barrel shadow. There are just a few problems I see with it in the current form (there may be others to point out as well). 1. Switch is too far away. The support hand certainly would be waaaaaaay far forward. The switch is essentially in front of the magazine cap and I'm not sure I can comfortably reach past the cap while in a shooting position. Actually I know I couldn't. 2. Dangerous positioning. If I could reach it, I certainly would not want to put my thumb out there past the working end of the barrel to turn the light on, especially with the adrenaline pumping. Well, just put the switch on the bottom you say... perhaps but what if you need counter pressure to activate the switch? Now your fingers are in front of the barrel... Both of those could be solved with a remote switch but just by looking at the picture I don't see how one could attach a remote switch as configured. As far as breeching is concerned, hmmmm... I wouldn't do it with that thing on. At $185.00 I'll let someone else be the guinea pig.

One can always hope that a company known for poor to at best marginal quality has turned around with a stellar product. Unfortunately it is the more trusting, uniformed, or risk takers that usually find out that the new product lives up to the original reputation instead of the company's intrinsic quality control assuring that the quality is acceptable. It always irks me when companies use their customers as guinea pigs for their product research even if they place a "lifetime warranty" on the product and are willing to replace it with another inferior quality piece which will just prove to fail at some time in the near future as well. Insanely expensive is correct... they have to have enough profit margin to cover the initial returns that people will make before just becoming too frustrated with the part and trash it altogether. If too many people force warranty returns the company may just call it "cosmetic" or "normal wear" and stop warrantying the defect. Just my $0.02.

One certainly could do that. The promag recoil pad is somewhat harder than the benelli pad but it does say "promag" on it which could help one argue compliance (although there is still some question as to whether or not the promag stock actually fits the letter of the law for 922r compliance). I am not recoil sensitive at all and did not notice the difference in pad hardness myself but it did make a difference for my wife and kids. The finish quality on the promag is not, imho, very compatible with the rest of the firearm. I tolerated it at first but the shiny stock was a bit odd. Once I switched back to the OEM unit, it was very evident in the quality of the finish... so add a can of matte spray paint to the list and some fine sandpaper or primer... The parts you would need are essentially 2 retaining pins, a button spring which each cost about $9.00, and the button which is about $32.00. How does a Yugo compare to a Ferrari? That's about the same as the promag and the OEM. They will both get you to where you want to go but... I didn't used to think so until I changed my promag for the Benelli OEM. There is an obvious quality difference. If you can only do the promag it will work but I would save the money and just get the OEM (extra 922r compliance issues and all).

Well, when I ordered mine it was... honestly I can't remember but I can tell you it was worth the wait. As StrangerDanger has posted here before, the Ti weight savings are essentially the same as the weight of the extra shells held in the full length magazine. For me this was paramount in the decision. The finish was a spot on match to my barrel which was not paramount in the decision. The threads were perfect and clean. But as others have posted, it is a metal tube, pretty hard (as a legitimate company) to mess up (as compared to some guy in his basement with a wood lathe and a tree in his backyard to straighten the tube) and you should be fine with just about anything if you don't care about the weight, etc. Honestly, no idea how to answer your question as to wait time but, for me, it was well worth it.

Perhaps it's because none of the other members own an Instinct L and have nothing to add or can't answer your question. I've never had any problems getting answers to questions about the M4 which is what most of the members here seem to own.

I only know of .308, .30-06, .300 win mag and .338 win mag with the last three being the only new production models iirc.
