The New Mossberg 940 Pro Tactical that is coming out in the spring looks pretty interesting .
-
Plano has some nice new cases that look just as robust as Pelican cases.
-
The Benelli Is little heavier than the Berettas and will absorb the recoil a little more but I still I would like to get a Beretta A300 Ultimate Patrol one of these days.

I ‘m running out of choke tube lube , is automotive never seize good to use on shotgun chokes ?
-
Sounds good that you solved your problem with not too much effort. Did you use blue loctite when you mounted the the new rail? My factory rail started loosening up just recently. I just had to tighten up the screws a bit.

Looks great ! Does the stock make the gun heavier? Lots of luck with it.

Benelliparts.net shows they have it stock.

The corporations own the media & the politicians & the corporations dictate what information the media should tell the people. Some politicians just thrive on the power and are out right greedy.

Where did you read or see that he used a shotgun?

Thanks ,I really didn't realize that the 1750 was that big.I have a couple of small Pelican cases and i like their products. The 1700 is probably the way to go. I don't want anything too big. I have the Dockocil which is fine but i need a shorter case for the M4 .
-
Do you think the 1750 would be a better fit for the pistol grip & field stock M4s ?
-
Nice set up, I was looking at the 1700 as well but I ended up with an old Dockocil case which worked out perfectly from a friend looking to get rid of it. The company was bought out by Plano and I was able to get new keys for the case .

Thanks for replying ,

How old is the Barrel ?

Just curious about what happens if a piston breaks while shooting an M4 ? Will it just function as an inertia shotgun ?
-
Can you send or post a pic of the non-pistol grip stock.

Absolutely. The 10403 fits the field stock exactly the same as the solid pistol grip stock. And you use the screws that are from the OEM butt pad.
Iv'e installed the 10403 on the field stock I have. So I know it works.
Do you have a pic ?

Providing an owner of a M4 18 inch model is living in a free state and after doing the proper paperwork for a short barrel shotgun ,convert their already owned shotgun ? Is it just the matter of changing out the magazine tube & barrel ? or is it easier to sell the 18 inch model & just buy the 14 inch model ?

Conventional thinking has always been (1) Back off one choke constriction with steel to achieve patterns similar to lead. In other words steel shot through a Improved Cylinder constriction will pattern like lead shot through a Modified choke and (2) Do not shoot steel through a Full or tighter choke constriction. The steel shot column is less fluid therefore it will not compress as easily in a tight choke resulting in erratic patterns and possible choke tube/barrel damage.
Thank you Steve for responding to my question. I did a little research before reading your response and other sources said the same thing. I was more curious about shooting steel shot through any shotgun & the Benelli M4. A friend of mine ended up getting me 3 boxes of Winchester #7 steel shot and not realizing that it wasn't lead shot. I ended up giving it back to him since he says he can use it. I rather just stay away from steel shot even though I changed out my M4 choke from a modified to an improved cylinder choke. My other shotguns that i use for trap the chokes can't be changed out so I don't want to have steel shot around.

Has anybody tried using steel Bird shot with their M4 shotgun ? What kind of choke would be needed? Someone gave me some #7 steel shot instead of lead shot shells .
