Is everything he sells factory oem?
Except for the 922r trigger kits and charging handles I believe so.

Unfortunately nature of the beast. I have 3 m4s and the engagement differed between all three. It must be a pia to try to design something that can deal with such a large variance

So I got this M3 from gunbroker, had really huge trouble putting two assembly together. The receiver is already a little broken due to my efforts blute forcing the barrel assembly in, but the small block on the end of the chamber extension just doesn’t want to go into the groove on the receiver. And then I found this on the barrel assembly and I kind of think the chamber extension is timed wrong. Am I just doing something wrong? Does everything look… correct?
I can't really tell what's going on with those pics. Here's a good vid of taking down an m3

It's the magazine tube spring retainer
https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/60407
It would be number 67 on that above schematic for your shotgun. Other m3s have a disk. I do not know why this one is open and has that lip but I think it has to do with the limiter
Also see here

Oh, that's not mlok on the spas-12. Its venting slots in the heatshield. It was a convertible shogun (pump and semi) and anything mounted in those sections would have interfered with the pump action.

Photos would help. Any chance these are what you’re describing?

Thanks! I’ve been asked about the SBS. I haven’t looked at the mlok spacing, and I don’t have a 14” barrel to test out as that is illegal in Canada (14” barrel semi auto).
chances are slim…
however, it might be possible to hack off some front slots with a good aluminum cut off blade, and debur and then do a touch up annodizing kit on it.
m4 barrel is 18.5 inch, so I guess the SBS would need a heat shield that is 4.5” less. Just measured and you’d lose the front 3 slots.
maybe I’ll try to make a few during the production run and I’ll send one off to someone to test…
I'd certainly be interested in a SBS version

Not sure if this really helps but have you checked for any rough patches or metal slivers on all the cycling components? I’d probably do a full check on the argo pistons, bolt carrier, machining in the receiver, and remove the spring from the recoil tube to check those associated parts out as well. How does your follower look from the magazine. Any odd wear marks? I’m probably not adding anything you’ve already done though…

Ah, for a variant of the m3a1. Those probably won't have spare bits for quite some time seeing as Australia Defence Department just selected it for their shotgun.

What's wrong with an EO Tech on a shotgun??? I was actually considering it, but what would be your reasoning for not doing so and what would be your recommendation for a sighting system? I ask this question with good intent, as I just bought my M4 recently and do not know what the best sighting system would be. I see lots of people putting all kinds of different optics, but EO Tech seems to be a favorite. What say you?

I really like Vang Comp's elastic https://www.vangcomp.com/product/spare-carrier/
I honestly haven't found any better
Just need some self adhesive hook and loop to put on the side of your m4 receiver

Freedom fighter tactical just listed some for sale… at the price of an entire shotgun.

Nice work! But why couldn't you do the same clamshell method of handguard assembly like the oem guard instead of needing screws to hold it together?

What you are experiencing is the situation referred to as Hoplophobia.
Hoplophobia is the irrational fear of firearms. Someone or groups of people [collective group think] experiencing this mental disorder may endure very intense bouts of anxiety as a result of their fear. Their fear of guns may influence their opinions on society, as well. For instance, people or groups with this condition may blame guns as being the reason for why people commit murders and other atrocities, as opposed to blaming the psychological health of the individual.
Unfortunately, Hoplophobia is being administered to our kids primarily in public schools. By the time a child leaves public school they have been indoctrinated toward a psychosocial mental state of "guns are evil and people that own guns are evil".
The United States Army has reported that 50% of new recruits have never held a gun in their lives. Around 10% of recruits at Boot Camp go through hoplophobia-like counseling sessions to overcome any fears.
George Washington was a fan of public education.
"I have heretofore proposed to the consideration of Congress, the expediency of establishing a National University; and also a Military Academy. The desirableness of both these Institutions, has so constantly increased with every new view I have taken of the subject, that I cannot omit the opportunity of once for all, recalling your attention to them…. Amongst the motives to such an Institution, the assimilation of the principles, opinions and manners of our Country men, but the common education of a portion of our Youth from every quarter, well deserves attention. The more homogeneous our Citizens can be made in these particulars, the greater will be our prospect of permanent Union; and a primary object of such a National Institution should be, the education of our Youth in the science of Government . In a Republic, what species of knowledge can be equally important? and what duty, more pressing on its Legislature, than to patronize a plan for communicating it to those, who are to be the future guardians of the liberties of the Country?"

They also make a 14” m2 that’s entirely inertia. Perhaps the extra half inch is what is required to operate an m3 on inertia.

The M3 is an inertial semi-auto action gun. I'm not sure what putting a shortened barrel on it would do to the cycling action. Sure, you can use the pump feature if it fails to cycle but personally I would not spend money buying and cutting down a barrel just to ruin the semi-auto action. If you do let us know how well it works.
Benelli does make a 14.5 M3
http://www.benellidefense.it/products/m3-145-telescopic-stock
But I have no clue if there are any additional considerations, like you mentioned, for the semi-auto cycling when the barrel is shortened. I wouldn't go past the 14.5 at least for a SBS

is it just me or does anyone else find the new stock fugly as all hell compared to the classic c-stock.
Yeah curved stock with straight back of the m4 receiver doesn’t mesh well. If they’d gone with a more curved m2 receiver style or altered the stock to be straighter it could work. Probably just cheaper to reuse already molded parts for this update…

I did see that recently. I needed to have two of the extensions replaced since the tolerances were so loose that when you screwed the extension in, the extension would rock back and forth due to poor thread engagement. Regal made me two new ones with larger specs which came with the drain holes. One extension fit nice and tight, the other would only thread in four full rotations before binding. Both tubes are dimensionally the same since they both fit into one receiver. The second receiver is nogo with either of them.
So I'm going to guess there is some tolerance slop between receivers which can be a real pain in the ass to build a part for. Its been kind of a headache and has delayed two projects significantly.
I'm really interested to see how RXArms tubes compare.
Is that why Benelli uses so much threadlocker?

Late to the game, but i bought a brand new Benelli M4 and installed a B&T handguard. Took it to the range, after about ~30 rounds the barrel guide ring snapped right off.
I was livid. Couldn't believe it. The foregrip seated perfectly. I don't understand what went wrong, but as it's aftermarket parts Benelli won't warranty it. Now I'm $2300 deep with a brand new broken shotgun with less than 50 rounds through it. Wish I'd never went with Benelli, if they won't stand behind they're products then they're expensive junk.
So you’re down a barrel because of a faulty forend. Contact the forend maker or just buy a new barrel…. This isn’t rocket science.

Got the initial prototypes today, scheduled for production in about 3 weeks… slides very nice and is tight on the notches. Complete with “drain holes” for a punch to get the spring out. some surface finishing aspects will be improved for final run (even though these look pretty good).
the wall thickness is so thin in some areas I may not be able to do black nitride. At least not a full bath (usually 90 minutes). I might do a short bath of 7 minutes or so to at least get a microscopic layer of corrosion resistance, then hot black oxide after. I’ll post more pics once I get it on the gun and do some function tests.
is it thinner than the stock recoil tube? Maybe an armor lube coating as it does add some lubricity… though I imagine it would be much more than cerakote

Hey guys, I'm Nate from Regal Metal Works. We are the ones producing the USA made tubes and then selling them on Ebay. We should have some 5 position tubes available for purchase this coming Friday
Happen to sell direct so you don't pay the ebay tax?
