I could be confusing hammer with trigger. I do have the geissele hammer but the fft trigger. I'm not aware of another trigger aside from fft/benelli
-
FFT said basically don't worry about it, they're sure it's fine...I'll see after shooting it a bit I guess. Not really happy with the way it looks and feels. The reason I went FFT instead of Geissele is that someone posted on here (SD Maybe?) that the Geissele seemed to wear more/faster
-
That's really nice of you SD, I very much appreciate it! I'll stew on it for a bit and see what everyone thinks, maybe ask FFT what they think
-
I imagine I probably won't feel it too much as it's too close to the back of the trigger guard to allow my finger to rub too much, but it is bothersome nonetheless on my still-perfect M4 lol. It would certainly be a PITA to replace though. I might just take your advice and leave it alone since I don't feel comfortable replacing it myself
-
Maybe I'm too anal about stuff like this, but anyone have any suggestions on what I could/should do about this? Bought an FFT trigger, had someone install it, and it looks like it has some machining marks on the side.
Leave alone, return, fine grain sandpaper?

Anyone have one for sale that's not $500 by chance?
-
I like the stuff as far as pattern goes, did you use this in an m4 or an m1-m2? le13200-le13300 is low-recoil and just wondered if a semi-auto would have issues cycling with it
-
I have an aimpoint h-1 and an eotech xps 2-0 both on larue qd mounts and love them both. That said, my m4 will probably get a leupold delta point 2 on an ADM mount this summer. The new trijicon rmr are sweet too but the blue tint on the rmr kills me. I don't want anymore weight on my m4 for sure
-
It takes some pressure to get off, it's something like marine goop'd on and the plastic is "notched" to help it not come off easily. It's just as much a pain in the butt to get the benelli one back on but like Sharkey said, once it does go on, it looks pretty close to factory designed
-
I had quite a bit more of an effort replacing the urbino grip with a benelli factory rubber part. Still thinking about going benelli collapsible though
-
That looks pretty snazzy too!
-
Thanks, the trigger work was a big help! After the tube, I have my surefire trail, and a stream light to add. Then wait to find an affordable collapsible stock and then my deltapoint 2
-
Sweet, sounds like it might be good then. Your trigger work, my semi-normal-sound gg&g install and my carriercomp tube is set to arrive wednesday!
I actually did buy some sticky felt and put it on the back of the pad, you can see that in the first picture. It doesn't look half bad
-
It angles out just a little bit now when it's reset, but when you hit the release to slide the bolt forward, it looks correct.
Is it normal to hear a bit of metal on metal between the bolt release and the shell release latches? When I depress the bolt release it seems like there's some metal on metal sound until it passes by the shell release and then the shell release drops into place.
-
Could it be that it's just like this because I don't have the shell tube/trigger pack installed? Does the trigger pack compress this part any?

Well, they look pretty identical in shape to me. I put the original back in place with a slave pin and tried either spring and it looks like it tilts a bit also. Does no one else experience this at all?
-
Just checked and removed the pad. It doesn't appear to be the problem because, if you can see from the 2nd picture, the actual drilled out piece itself is angled backward as opposed to the charging handle. If you press on the pad and compress the spring, the closer the pad gets to the side of the receiver, the more parallel it is. Could the spring be too strong since it's new?

It doesn't look normal from the pictures I've seen either. They said this was a new batch they had just received from Benelli
-
I just received this new GG&G Bolt Release Pad from GG&G and decided to install it. The install seemed to go well, no bending or issues with the pens or stress or anything like that. However, when it was done, it looks like the pad is severely angled outward from the receiver on one end and flush on the other. Is this normal? It seems to still function well but it looks like crap to me.

That's certainly some good info! Sounds like I should skip the hammer spring then!

I've been going back and forth on this item. I'm usually all for accessories, just not sure if this is one I need or not. Concerned a bit since I've heard it can "spin" among other things. Any input from long term users?
-
Sweet! The one time I've taken my M4 out, the one negative I noticed was pinching the
out of my thumb/thumbnail! -
Waiting patiently for SD's review on both of these items before I order and send him all of my parts I figure I have time though, only 3.5 months in the queue for my carriercomp tube so far!
