I'm shocked no company makes collapsible M4 clone stocks. I know Pro Mag used to, but evidently not anymore. These stocks are NOT worth what people are charging, but I get it ... the market and scarcity dictates the price. Flood the market with a reasonably priced alternative and the price WILL drop.

You could probably  screw QD sling sockets through that round hole in the stock. There are kits you can buy, Magpul is one brand, where you can install a QD cup on both sides of the stock and a single screw secures them both together to the stock through that hole.

On a side note, I noticed you have a Vortex StrikeFire with the cantilever mount. That mount is likely approx 1.5" from center of optic above the picatinny rail. That is really high for a shotgun and that height is for AR-15s. You would be much better off using the lowest mount can can possible get for a decent cheek weld.

I use a Vortex SPARC with the lowest Bobro mount and I had to adjust the comb of my stock up to get a good cheek weld. How are you currently going about getting a good cheek weld with that current setup?

I installed one of their 8 shell, top attaching carriers with picatinny rail several years ago and no issues. I admit that I don't shoot 100s of rounds per year either. I do really like the Esstac shotshell cards though. I put one on my Remington 870. They hold shells a LOT better than the Mesa Tactical carriers. Just yesterday I had a couple shell just fall out of my M4. Could be either the rubber deformed, shells deformed or a little of both. It came with multiple pieces of rubber and indicated what their physical properties are for warm & cold weather if I recall correctly.

Makes me wonder if there's an aftermarket alternative for that retaining rubber part.

As mentioned, don't use split rail (aka light rails) with LaRue or Bobro mounts. If you use an ADM mount (or other similar styles) it will be fine. ADM mounts return to zero accurate enough for a shotgun. Personally ... I'd probably go with the ADM mount route just to save the expense of replacing the rail.

Up to you if you want to swap it out for an actual mil-spec rail. I swapped mine out with a Mesa Tactical shot shell carrier, that picatinny rail was mil-spec and I mounted a Vortex SPARC using the lowest Bobro mount.

I sure wouldn't want to get hit with ANYTHING that exits the barrel of any 12 gauge, especially a semi auto like the M4.

I used a hand-held propane torch to heat the end of the receiver until the thread locker began to smoke. The magazine tube twisted right off with zero harm to the receiver or any surface. I'm sure a heat gun works too, but I didn't own one. Just don't be afraid to use a torch if you own one. Clean the threads, apply thread locker and install the full length tube. I replaced the stock magazine follower just for fun too.

I used the Freedom Fighter Tactical tube because it was readily available and I didn't want to wait several or more months for a similar tube with zero difference in function. It functions flawlessly and looks as good as any other. Any difference from one tube from another will be so minimal, I just don't see what the hype is all about. There are plenty of side by side comparison pics online. That's what made me go with a readily available tube rather than needlessly waiting.

I have used Nordic tubes on other shotguns and they are very nice. I just preferred a titanium tube as it has no coating to scratch.

Freedom Fighter Tactical parts are great. I bought their titanium magazine tube and some other parts.

My favorite bolt release is the GG&G bolt release kit. It's not cheap, but a well worthwhile upgrade.

I have owned a Remington 870 for nearly 20 years, never had it fail me and only about 5 years ago bought a Benelli M4. I LOVE my M4, but I already knew my Remington inside out as though it was a limb of my own. I kinda just look at the M4 as though it is an extravagance. So for new gun owners, I can't help but recommend they get a pump action, a carry pistol and then build or buy an AR-15 as soon as possible.

I don't recall ever hearing about that before. I own a Remington 870 so I suppose I shouldn't have to be concerned. I'll remember that though if I or anyone I know ever gets a Mossberg. Thanks for the info!

I agree with StrangerDanger.

I would recommend either a Remington 870 or a Mossberg 500 pump action shotgun due to its lower price and simplicity in comparison to the Benelli M4. While you're at it, also buy a carry pistol. The combined price of the pistol and the shotgun will still have you lower overall price of a Benelli M4.

If the Eotech optic is mounted as low as it can be ... there's nothing else you can do to make the optic lower. The elevation and windage adjustments are for zeroing in the Eotech, not to lower the reticle.

Wow those prices are high! SureFire sure ain't cheap.

You could get that IWC mount, attach any light you want as well as any laser you want for a LOT less.

Another option would be to install a Mesa Tactical Trukee forend/handguard, attach any light and laser you want.
