Man you seem to be a m4 expert….And that cheap optic is cheap shit. You couldn’t give me one .I’ll stick with my aimpoints on m4s.You’ll probably have a fault in them
Im a gunsmith, are YOU son????
I have 4 AIMPOINTs,
2 RMR Trijicons,
...15 Eotechs,
6 VORTEX red dots,
2 Trijicon MROs
You havent got a single clue in Hades what youre talking about and FURTHER, YOUVE NEVER HAD YOUR HANDS ON ONE (the defender Vortex)
which makes your words LESS than useless

Meh………you’re a waste of time
you literally just said nothing, so you CONCEDE the debate i see.
1. equal build quality (better in fact since i own an RMR)
2. comes with pic rail already on red-dot
3. i dont have to remove the existing pic rail
4. i dont need to lower my eyes closer to bore axis to view
5. far far far far less $$$$$$
Since youve never had HANDS ON with one, nothing you say has ANY WEIGHT, .......NONE.

So, instead of answering a question to somebody who is new to shotguns, you revert to insulting me. Wow. You are a real stand-up guy huh?
How about you use your brain.......... "WOW IM STICKING AN INSANE GIGANTIC OPTIC DESIGNED FOR AR's on my light weight shotgun, hmmmm, what about the mass of the SHEERING FORCE this thing will do to my shotgun rail and its THREADED SCREW HOLES????????? HMMMMM. "
ve seen 2 benelli m4 have their RAILS SHEERED OFF DUE TO RECOIL STRESS OF HAVING AN ELEPHANT (EOTECH) on them.

1000000000% theyre doing it WRONG, PERIOD. the SAME Brits that use that laughable abortion BULLPUP!!!????
Anyone so brainless as to NOT SEE how INSANE it is to stick a HUGE eotech on any shotgun needs their head examined. 😅
Ive seen 2 benelli m4 have their RAILS SHEERED OFF DUE TO RECOIL STRESS OF HAVING AN ELEPHANT (EOTECH) on them.
im going to assume you didnt think before posting that absurd picture of a fool with an eotech on his benelli.

So you have no facts or basis so you resort to insults? How many times do I have to ask? What is your basis behind your statement? So you’re a gunsmith big friggin deal. I’ve worked airplanes for nearly 40 years.
Thus far, your claims carry no weight. You’ve produced no factual basis for your opinion.

You, like most "tacti-cool" entities always think "more $$$$ = more better" , but such is the case of superficial minds.

Umm, ok. So, I guess I will ask again as to why you think that way about EO Techs. Is it because of the size?
If you dont know why putting an EOTECH on the top of any shotgun is a HORRIFIC idea, ....then you have issues nobody can fix.

Hi, so I asked you this question on another post. But just curious as to why is the Vortex Defender better than say the EO Tech other than price? Is the glass cleaner? Is the dot clearer or brighter? Better controls? Longer battery life? How has the Vortex worked for you so far? I love Vortex and own a bunch of Vortex glass from scopes to red dots, range finders, and binos, so it would be nice to stay with them, but not all their glass is the best. What say you sir?
I own 15 Eotechs (on ARs and HK762, and SCAR17)..., ....but id have to go FULL BLOWN FOOL to think of putting one on any shotgun!!!!
I see peeps putting one on a benelli etc, and my sphincter puckers, ........ why not put an elephant in the back seat of a VW bug,.

A leather mag cap doesn’t sound so great…
The storage compartment will be US$34.
its just a storage compartment for battery etc. / lost charging handle.
doesnt sound great? who prefers plastic over quality leather?
Last leather item i made was a $1200 scabbard for a top quality AK47 made out of green alligator.

A Kia is half the price of a Cadillac, does that make it better?
What are the facts on the better? Solid data or “your opinion”?
Im a gunsmith, and own more optics and red-dots than almost everyone on this board combined (not literally but close to be sure).
Opinions? I dont care about anyone's opinions, only facts and logic (and wisdom).
Comparing a Kia and a Caddy? well BOTH ARE JUNK, .....however a Kia is statistically more reliable than a junk american made Caddy.
bad analogy there honey.
In your poor analogy however a cheapo KIA IS 100000% better than a junk made unreliable Caddy.

Gunsmith, owner of 15 eotechs, 5 vortex RAZORs ,several P.R.O. Aimpoints etc etc.
Vortex just came out with the DEFENDER, it comes standard with a PIC RAIL MOUNT, but also 10 extra (yes literally) baggies with diff screws for pistol mounts blah blah ..
its $250 !!! Quality is EPIC, even better than the VORTEX RAZORs i have mounted on my M4's ...
Looooooooooove it, its the cats azz! I mounted this one on my new Beretta 1301 tactical, but be just as great on my M4's
did i mention its $250 and its quality?????????
why wont this stinking board let me add photos??? Hmmm error 200'

Just watched this video from TFB TV. Was wondering what you guys think. I found it very interesting that this happened.
i saw the video, ....ive never seen such unintelligent ineptitude in my life.
ANYONE likewise (also that video) that puts an EOTECH on a shotgun should go to jail, ....so unintelligent, so senseless.

Benelli doesn't seem too concerned about that with their factory part which is pretty wide open.
wide open??????? ROFL.....the factor M4 handguards entirely block dirt/crap from falling into the dual piston system.

Lots of plastic on there. Honestly a plastic tube cover on the mag tube that holes the whole gun together… I don’t get all the plastic parts beretta chose to go with.
it would be a much better quality firearm if they increased the Price $100 and used metal components.
No field stripping without tools either with that clamp on the end.
it DOES NOT HOLD anything together, you can take off that cover and the gun would work fine, its only a shell tube (METAL) protector and buffer between the shell tube and the tube CLAMP.
well you "aint getting it", its lightweight for a reason.

Long time Benelli lover and owner of 5 M4s (yes i know thats a bit crazy), a M1Super90 and 3 benelli M2 tactical.
Decided to pick up the gen2 Beretta 1301 tactical. Before testing fully I wanted to take it apart to see about the robust-ness of the system.
Definitely about 85% or bit less as robust as my M4 or M2's ....
buuuuut, its design necessitates this, because its very lightweight. Faster than the M4? Oh hell yes.
Had so much fun with it, ...I thought its light weight would make recoil a good bit more brutal, but not that i could tell.
At $1550 (what i paid) i dont have to buy a +2 tube or full tube, its already there.
actually what LOOKS like a +2 on the end of the Beretta is actually a plastic cover, the 7 round tube is single and continuous inside it.
10 out of 10 times, ill be taking my beretta 1301 out for spins over any of my benellis. Its just that enjoyable honestly.
Buuuuut, since Beretta owns benelli, the $$$$$$$ goes to the same folks, so Im sure they dont care.

In the one image bottom, we have a SWAT (or other armed forces) with a MATTE black M4,
low reflectivity= IDEAL TACTICAL
The "fighting tool for those who know".
In the other image at top, we have a very pretty M4 with reflective surfaces undesirable for field USE
Its perfect for showing others, and posting pictures of.
Such mods are boasted of their weather / anti-rust properties (rather than keeping their gun oiled and cleaned as anyone ought to do).
i.e. the boasting rights of a Keyboard-Jockey.
This is the same reason a $4000 1911 is said of "what you show your friends"........and a Glock is said "what you show your enemies".
Here ended the lesson.

NP3 would be a better choice than nickel boron.
Heres a novel idea, keep it cleaned and well oiled and dont worry about NON-TACTICAL reflective coatings.

You’d know all about that I’m sure. It’s obviously been plated in NP3.
well make sure it stays pretty, thats whats important. If you need to shoot your M4, its best to put that one under glass, and buy another one and shoot the "ugly" one.
but the ugly one eventually gets the upgrade too, then youll need to buy another one.
thats how i ended up with 4 benelli M4's.

From the bolt condition, this means you either
1. re-coated it
2. your lying.

I, originally had a Trijicon RMR with Scalarworks mount (for the co-witness). However, the Trijicon was difficult to see when the sun was over my right shoulder. I change over to a Vortex Razor and a rail mount. A side by side compare of the Trijicon and the Vortex (looking into a shaded area) shows the Vortex has much clearer glass with less side distortion. Also, the Vortex has a wider FOV.
No longer having/needing the co-witness, I opted to remove the stock sight. I then reversed the direction of the stock rail and cut off the portion that extended too far to the rear. I also removed the front sight blade and blade guard.
WOW, that looks like a HATCHET JOB. Ughhh
NEW OPTIC OUT... best shotgun red dot option now is...
