  1. i agree with rez. if u wanna try the oem pistol grip stock, im sure many here would be willing to sell u their take off. i got one somewhere i would sell if u want.
  2. I would imagine u can’t go wrong with either pick. I have heard great things about each. That being said I own an M4. Largely because of the reputation it has with the USMC, it became my dream gun. Truth be told, I was unaware of the 1301 when I got mine a few years ago. Otherwise, I think I would’ve had a much a harder decision. What really helped me make the leap was a thread on arfcom written by the manager/owner/whomever of a shooting range in Las Vegas regarding the sturdiness and reliability of the M4. I believe the name of the range is Battlefield Las Vegas. They cater to a lot of tourists because they rent machine guns. He wrote a lengthy thread describing the parts breaking in even the most reliable of guns like the Rem 870 and Mossberg 500 guns. He had raving review of the Benelli M4/M1014 and that even after 10s of thousands of rounds it never broke a single part and was never not available for rent due to repair. Now this was a thread from many years ago, quite possibly before the 1301 came to market, let alone the A300 ultimate patrol. I’m sure if u did a search u will find the thread. It definitely helped me get over the cost of the M4. Love mine, even after putting another 1k into it to make it how I wanted it. With all that said, I will likely own Beretta 1301 and possibly the A300 Ultimate Patrol eventually. Good luck with whatever u choose.
  3. i went with a&s housing because i liked the look but mostly because the oem Al trigger groups were hard to come by and expensive since they were discontinued. ymmv. but ya the swapping of parts was fairly simple. i used the exact video posted above to help me out. i only remember using a punch and a roll of tape in lieu if an ar block. GL
  4. looks good. im in the same boat with having mine where i want it to be. if i didn’t live in california i would try harder to find the oem collapsible stock at reasonable price, but im happy with the urbino for now btw its called a match saver iirc.
  5. i agree. i would try this before sending it out to the manufacturer.
  6. found the link: https://www.mountsplus.com/iwc-benelli-m4-light-mount-for-scout-compatible-lights.html
  7. Damn for that price I’m sure someone will jump on it really soon. I thought I was content with having a Mesa urbino since I’m in California and the adjustment doesn’t do me any good but I must say I’m thinkin about it.
  8. Do a search of this sub forum. I remember another user posting a link to a company, not IWC, that had them in stock.
  9. i would definitely be interested in a shorter lop as well if priced reasonably. keep us posted. thanks.
  10. I run my tactical sling on my my M4 as m2_shooter described, thus only run a Velcro side saddle on the left side of the receiver and none on the buttstock. That is a trade off you’re gonna have to decide on. On my mossberg I run a traditional 2-pt sling coming off the left side at the front and rear but with this type of sling I can’t wear it slung up.
  11. Huh. Ya I don’t know what to tell ya. I never noticed that when I got mine a couple years ago. I don’t remember if there was an option to get left side or right side. As far as I recollect I got one of the remaining Noveske versions fft had for sale. I never installed mine to have the qd slot in the left side but I don’t think it mattered. Must be something FFT did to this new FFT version they’re selling now. I hope whichever u chose it all works out for you. Lots of luck.
  12. https://freedomfightertactical.com/products/the-fft-qd-sling-plate-for-original-benelli-and-mesa-tactical-stocks i replaced the oem sling attachment point on my urbino with the above. u could turn it either direction to have the qd point on the left or right side. I am right-handed and have the qd attachment on the right side opposite my cheek. I use a magpul ms4 that can go around the right side of the stock over and around my right should and under my left arm connecting to to the left side of the qd attachment in front. everybody is different and has a different preference on how they wanna run their equipment. i went with the noveske qd attachment just to save me from drilling into the stock to add magpuls qd cup and deciding i didn’t like it after. ymmv. good luck.
  13. I’m curious as to what the barrel length is on your sbr, as well as the overall length. I live in California so I am limited to my choices. That is unless the NFA gets thrown out to which I’m hopeful but I won’t be holding my breath.
  14. ^this. i don’t have one yet but if i was gonna upgrade the trigger this is the one i would get. heard many great things about it. https://www.briley.com/p-58223-benelli-all-automatic-shotgun-models-match-triggers.aspx
  15. heres is what i installed on the stock replacing the oem sling attachment https://freedomfightertactical.com/products/the-fft-qd-sling-plate-for-original-benelli-and-mesa-tactical-stocks and here is what I put in between the receiver and stock for a single-point sling attachment point. good luck finding one as they’re apparently discontinued https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1005296961?pid=153206
  16. The only magazine tube that i ever heard having issues/causing malfunctions was the briley carbon fiber tubes. Something about the magazine spring getting hung up on the transition from metal end to carbon fiber tube. Stranger danger, a user here, posted about it. other made parts (other than what was already mentioned above) are charging handle and trigger parts like the hammer, etc. if u do a search here there are plenty of threads regarding things people have done. Good luck.
  17. i installed the mesa tactical urbino stock. their website has the length of pull at 12.5”.
  18. ya i was already wanting one bc of its reputation of being awesome then i heard there was a thread by iirc the owner of battlefield las vegas on arfcom that definitely sealed the deal for me.
  19. u need an FFL03 & coe to receive ammo shipped directly to your home or have it shipped to an FFL (gun shop), and the gunshop can charge u whatever they want as a transfer fee plus the fee for the background check.
  20. i agree with this. i have the same issue with the tti safety. just haven’t gotten around doing anything about it. looks to be that something like briley safety is the next best option.
  21. Congrat! Now u gotta post pics of your project.
  22. not that much outside of 922r compliance. however, many manufacturers make brightly colored followers to make it more visible so that the user is seeing the follower and not the end of a shell to show an empty magazine. there is also manufacturers that leave a big fat hole in the follower so that u can feel that the magazine tube is empty by feeling the hole and not the flat edge of a shotshell.
  23. i don’t have one of those but i think if u got a light with a shorter profile mount it wouldn’t be that far off, but then again, not that much different.
