Nomaspescado
Does anybody here know if the SBE I and SBE II forends are interchangeable? I'd love to change out the one on my SBE II as I still find it awkward. Thanks for any replies, Steve
Spot shooter
I ordered a SBE II forend and put it on my SBE I.. It fit tightly but it fits. They are the same length, and the only major difference is the cut outs up by the barrel area. Spot
Nomaspescado
Thanks for the info, Spot Do you think that the SBE I forend would look funny with those "cut-outs" at the front of the barrel? Also, It's been quite a while since I have handled a SBE I. Isn't the forend a little less pronounced on the lower edge towards the back end while at the same time being a little wider overall? Thanks again, Spot shooter Steve

Spot shooter
I like the more pronounce forend (SBE II), the angle of the forend makes it easier to lift the shotgun from low battery. I wouldn't notice the cut outs unless I'm looking for them. I do plan to keep both of them incase I get a SBE II shotgun, I can use my extra foreend to make a slug barrel forend. Currently I have a slug barrel for my SBE I and it did require a different forend due to extra thick barrel. Spot
Nomaspescado
Thanks for the info, Spot We have the same plan regarding the slug barrel. Cheers, Steve
