Group,

I have an M4 (M11017 I believe) that I purchased new in 2006. The gun has a low round count (100 or so) with the following options/upgrades:

- Factory collapsible stock (attached)

- Factory pistol grip stock

- Meprolight Tritium sights

- Mesa Tactical 8-shot shell holder w/rail

- SOCOMGuy full length magazine tube

- GG&G enlarged bolt release

- GG&G extended bolt handle

- Streamlight rail adaptor for weapon light

I am curious as I am upgrading my insurance policy to cover my firearms & this was one I wasn't quite sure of. Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

Try to figure replacement cost when dealing with insurance issues...

Shotgun - 1500 to 1750 (Factory pistol grip stock)

400 to 800 - Factory collapsible stock (if available)

100 - Meprolight Tritium sights

100 - Mesa Tactical 8-shot shell holder w/rail

150 - SOCOMGuy full length magazine tube

50 - GG&G enlarged bolt release

50 - GG&G extended bolt handle

250 - Streamlight rail adaptor for weapon light

Insure for around $3000

I, too, was thinking around $3500.00 as well. I figured what with the increased value of the collapsible stocks & the fact that these aren't cheap anyways, I would be safe at that number.

Thanks for the input, everyone.

And the $10.00 offer? Here ya go:

The one at the bottom left. That should about cover the cost of an M4!;)

In dealing with my insurance company after the theft of several firearms, "THE GOOD HANDS" people adjuster stated that "the ONLY reference we use, and most insurance companies use, is the BLUE BOOK OF GUN VALUES, as it is based on actual market values, not some so-called experts opinion". Also, invest in the additional insurance available through the NRA, it is reasonable in cost.
