I am no expert, but it seems like having an over bored barrel would let the gases escape past the shot cup therefore giving you less FPS and a blown out pattern. It works fine. No loss of fps. Indeed, I get more of a blown pattern from the underbored Benellis. I can easily fine tune this underbore with the correct choke & load combination though. Benellis are much more durable tools, but overbored guns pattern better, much better.
