tucker301
The photographer seemed to be more interested in the Hooters girls than he was in the guests and prizes, but I really can't blame him on that one. Slideshow

tucker301
Those girls were worth their weight in gold. We did a card raffle with two decks of cards. The chairman was concerned that we may not sell two decks at $20/card. Two girls sold all of them in under an hour. Then he was asking if we could go somewhere and get another deck. The tall blonde did the wingspan raffle. She had them lined up ten deep with money in hand. Poor girl was running out of places to stuff bills. Matt D
Nice slideshow, how did the event do? Our chapter went to a Sportsman Night Out format: No auctions, just games, no dinner, just finger food and held on a week night. We made more money for DU using this format than we had with a dinner the last two years.
tucker301
We're a small chapter, but we managed to send them a check for just under 10 grand. We've found that holding it on a weeknight has proven to be beneficial, so as to not compete with other plans. One big plus for us was when the guy who bought the Beretta on the auction immediately requested a second one at whatever price we thought was fair. I was impressed with how much money was spent, given the current economy. It was as though we had tapped into a pent up demand to spend money and have some fun.
