ArtL
Good show and great looking dogs. The season close for us last week and I only got 5 for the season, which is pretty good for MA.
timb99
Congrats. Pheasants are a kick. I'm an addict. Nothing like the rush you feel when a rooster flushes near you. Handsome dogs, too.
Guest McDaddy
This was opening weekend for TX. We finished day one with 24-28 (lost count) and added another 20 today. It was a very frosty 27 degree day. The two shorthairs are both rescue dogs. Taz on the left is a senior hunter and Buddy is a junior. Taz will finish his master at the next hunt test and hopefully Buddy will move up.
timb99
Native birds, or pen-raised? Didn't know Texas had places with that many birds.
Guest McDaddy
All native; last year we finished the season at 181. More birds around this season. The Panhandle is full of pheasant; always has been. Some years better than others as usual. Unfortunately, I have to work this week, but will head out again Saturday. geoman458
Makes me wanna cry. Haven't seen that many birds in Pa for 30 - 35 years. Ever since the avian flu hit central pa, birds have just vanished. Now only hope is put and take birds on public game lands. The boys look good and strong too. Really miss my dog and the 70's. Glad to see your success McDaddy.
