I chose the matte finish over the camo because I was told and read that the matte finish would hold up very well under waterfowling conditions. I was curious as to if anyone else has noticed that the finish seems to scratch extremley easy and starts to rust immediatly. I take care of my equipment to the extreme point, but the barrel looks like heck and is all scratched to heck just from resting it in the corner of the blind. My buddies looks great and he beats the heck out of his by tossing it in the boat with out a case hence rubbing against the boat and never gets a blemish. stonerowner Posted January 2, 2010 Share Posted January 2, 2010 I bought my Nova Pump 5 months ago and I am very happy with Benelli's finish, any marks I have made came off by just putting some REM oil on a rag and wiped it down..scratches and marks gone.
