Outdoor Life Posted January 1, 2010 Share Posted January 1, 2010 I recently purchased a benelli m2 field as my do it all shotgun ,and love it. My question is why did benelli decide not to put a mid bead on the m2 like they did with the sbe2? tnskeetshooter Posted January 4, 2010 Share Posted January 4, 2010 I was always told that the mid bead is for checking to see if you have your cheek in the right spot on the stock. If you are lined up correctly you should see a figure 8. The front bead sits on top of the mid bead making a figure 8. tucker301 Posted January 4, 2010 Share Posted January 4, 2010 With a shotgun, your eye is the rear sight. The mid bead does indeed assist with proper cheek weld and helps prevent canting.
