pablo
I purchased a new montefeltro last august and used it frequently this past hunting season. I've noticed the barrel blueing is worn through where the wood forearm contacts it. I clean the barrel using breakfree after every use. Is this typical? If not, does anyone know how to prevent further wear? Thx, Paul
HavocTec
I had the same thing happen on my AL391. I just chalked it up to normal wear and tear from breaking it down all the time to clean.
birddog
yep.. normal wear. Pick up a blueing touch-up pen and hit the wear areas (that are hidden, obviously) and you should be good to go. My brother has the same situation on his and this is what he's done to add a lil' bit of protection.. so far so good.
