texas skeeter
what kind of m4 is it, Bushmaster?? cause there isnt any stock benelli m4's with that part in it anywhere!!
rmlm4
benelli m4, of course. i have the one with the retractable stock, if that helps. my unit is sraight from the box, took that thingy out from the magazine tube.
texas skeeter
what state or country do you live in? cause that isnt supposed to be in a Benelli m4 here. it looks like a limiter for one of benelli's other hunting line guns and was possibly accidentally put in your gun. im sure there are quite a few guys here that would kill for that limiter as ive heard they are hard to come by. you didnt pull out a mag tube spring?? rmlm4
from the philippines. i twisted the mag cap, used improvised pliers to squeeze and pull out that cap that otherwise holds the spring in place, took out the limiter, put the spring back in and screwed the mag cap back on. not sure if it was accidental, but another m4 owner here has the same. texas skeeter
does the laws there limit round capacity on the Benelli m4's? and thus the limiter?? cause if not, im pretty sure guys here have been looking for that type of limiter if you dont need it. rmlm4
don't think so. i'll check on the pricing and decide on whether i'm selling it.
xamoel
you did right, i had a limiter as well, that's exactly the same thing i pulled out of my M4. it is not accidentally installed.
texas skeeter
hey Camel, whats it for? and why does it seem to only be sent to the other countries and not the U.S.?
rmlm4
thanks xamoel! i'm actually quite nervous... the whole thing came apart since i wasn't able to screw the magazine cap back on immediately after, hence i had to assemble the m4 one piece at a time... think i did a fairly decent job, but i'd rather that someone who's more familiar with it disassemble and assemble it again before i fire it. xamoel
in germany auto-loading hunting weapons have a round limit of 3, that's why they are sold with the limiter.
edon
I guess that limiter would only be factory installed in an M4 with a full length mag tube, not like the civilian short ones here in North America - not much use for a 1-shot semi auto! texas skeeter
YEP, thats why. the U.S. guns dont come with a full length mag tube.
h.bowman
YEP, thats why. the U.S. guns dont come with a full length mag tube. Yet. I've always heard through the grapevine that they may start making M4s over here. Who knows?
