How Much Rain/Water Before Failure?

Hey everyone,

Sort of new to shotgun shooting still and I was wondering how much rain or water it takes for a Supernova before failure to fire, or safe to do so.

I know with rifles you want to be really carefull with oil or water down the barel for example, how is that with shotguns?

Thanks in advance,

Daniel

You can easily hunt all day in the pouring rain, but that's true with just about any modern gun.

The trick is how well you disassemble and clean the gun that evening after the hunt.

If you put it away wet and leave if for 12 hours or more, you're going to have rust beginning to set in on internal parts, bore, etc.

Eh, I doubt you will ever have an issue. Shotguns are very low-pressure. I mean, if you fire it underwater it will probably not be good, but other than that, I doubt you will have any problems.
