rmj
OK -- I've pretty much decided that I'm going to buy a good 3" autoloader for all-around use (waterfowl, upland, clays etc.). I'm leaning towards a new, discountinued M1 12 gauge and am wondering if there are any real advantages of getting a new M2 or Montefeltro over the M1? I'm planning on buying a traditional wood-stocked gun, so comfort-tech is not an issue. Is the M1 adjustable (i.e. do the M2 shims fit the old M1s?)? Does the crio treatment (M2 only as far as I can tell) really make any difference? Are there other signficant differences in action, trigger, adjustability etc. or are all the differences between these guns just in fit, finish and feel?
