firtree
I was cleaning my M1Super90 (HK import) the other day, and when I went to re-assemble it, the trigger guard pin slipped right out of the bushing. I tried it again, but there is no tension at all on the pin, it just pushes right in and falls right therough when I put the trigger group back into the reciever. Thinking that I had somehow stretched the bushing over time I ordered a new one and , of course, it is also loose! Is there something that I am doing wrong? I have not stripped the M1S90 in a long time, so maybe I forgot something..? What keeps the pin from falling through since the bushing is not tight around it? Thanks, F
tucker301
See page 4, items 016A & 018A. ftp://ftp.benelli.it/Public/UM_SPL/G0191801.PDF The pin slips into a bushing, which has a small D shaped spring on one end, with the | part of the D locking into a slot in the bushing as the circle part wraps around the bushing. This spring engages the groove cut in the pin when inserted.
firtree
Aaah! So it sounds like I popped off the spring on the bushing used to retain the pin. Does that sound right?
