CWP147
Just wondering, with all the posts about coatings and such, exactly what does Benelli use for the camo weapons?
tucker301
The camo finish is a printed film which is applied in a water transfer process called hydrographic or water transfer printing. A primer is applied to improve adhesion and a top clear coat is applied to improve durability. There are a number of companies that do it, but the process is essentially the same with all of them. You can even get a DIY kit and try your hand at it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yXiVk96U0
Guest cleefurd
I was told once what coating is used for the lightest shade base coat, and I only recall that it is an obscure European brand. Then the printed film goes on top of that as mentioned.
lefty556
Vinyl type film and water transfer, most likely. There's a company out in Lubbock, TX that does it.
