tucker301
It does not appear that the original thread will be restored. So we will start another one. Hopefully, with regard to spammers, one day the people who run this place will realize that the cure lies in prevention, not surgery. Please post your pictures again. duckht183
Killed 3 teal 2 spoonies 1 gaddy and 1 bufflehead this morning before work. With this rain/wind that we had this morning along the low temps we've been having these past few days it definately pushed new birds down

Scotty82
Thanksgiving morning. Should have had 5-6, but MISSED BIG on teal at like 15yds. Had to get out of field in time for lunch. Wife said thanksgiving would not ever happen in the duck blind.
Scotty82
Friday, Nov. 26. Odd group. Divers and dabblers. Shot both the redheads with 1 shot, they came in chest open, and stackked. And if I remember correctly, I think I requested that all spoonies were stopped before the Kansas/Oklahoma border.
Scotty82
Busted today, gun was froze. Any kind of Anti-freeze lube out there? After first set it was all weary pins.

What are you using now? I've never had a problem with Hoppes Elite or Breakfree, but I always wipe the parts down to nearly dry.
Scotty82
Hoppes No9 Lube. I know it was froze because it was the 1st shot of morning, pulled trigger, nothing, no "click", acted like the safety was on, chkd safety, it was off, racked next shell, it was "stiff", next 2 shots no malfunctions. Picked up shell, no primer strike, put into gun and it fired. I leave mine a little "wet" during season.
tucker301
You can also get condensation from temperature changes that will cause enough moisture to create a freeze up. I'd definitely recommend switching to a CLP and running her a little drier if you're going to be hunting in sub-freezing temps. Hoppes also makes a dry lube. http://www.hoppes.com/products/dri_lube.html Great pics, by the way!
