imad
i bought recently an used sl80 123 and its not in a good condition, the color of the top reciever (that should be black normally) is dark blue or violet which is really ugly, i asked one benelli dealer if there is any kind of paint or material to be used and he had no answer, if anyone knows how can i solve this problem or what is the material that i should use, i will be very grateful, and i may post some photos of it also for clarification. NB: i have two other benelli's a sl80 121 and a refaello deluxe but i need to fix this sl80 123 because i like it and over here in Lebanon it is almost rare and it is very difficult to find one with a good condition. thanks in advance
BriggsRi
You should be able to have someone remove the old finish and re-coat. I have had receivers and such in the past do the same thing - they ended up turning very purple. Something about the coating process - cleaning, improper product mix, or application. imad
brig, thx for your reply, but in fact i have contacted Benelli's dealer in Lebanon to ask him for a asolution and he said that he doesnt have the proper material for painting, because the reciever is made of aluminum and it needs special paint to fix properly on it, so i contacted Benelli Italy with an e mail but still no reply. BriggsRi
Did you send them any photo's of the receiver for reference? Some times a picture can speak volumes! Could you post a picture for all of us to see as well?

They may not have the proper materials, but can they recommend someone that can do the work?
