Any recommend Benelli Gunsmiths

Hey, hadn't been on here in awhile but saw a ton of people were visiting our site from here so figured I'd check in to see what was going on. Just to clarify a couple things, we're not rethreading for chokes, the Benelli barrel is too thin to do that well. Were relocating items from the choked section of the barrel. If you look at the M4 barrel you can see how it flares out just prior to the choke tube, this is done to allow enough room to thread for the choke tubes.

We've built all the needed tools to do the conversion right, and as long as we're doing several at a time it can be done quite reasonably (around $250-300). If you'd like to pay more, feel free to do so, we won't stop ya :p

As far as not sending the barrels back until we get a copy of the ATF paperwork, you guys are right, it isn't required legally. The reason we require it is because we keep the copy of the form attached to the invoice for our records. The ATF has been watching us businesses that manufacture parts and modify parts a lot more closely in the past couple years (which is ironic since we don't fall under their jurisdiction), so we have copies of the forms for every NFA item that leaves here so we can document on our end that the part was for a legally-owned NFA item and that we're not making 'sawed-offs' for 'da homies' :D We do a lot of NFA barrel and component work on various guns, so obviously we want to make sure our stuff isn't falling into the wrong hands either or is being put together in an illegal manner by someone who just doesn't know better. For every NFA barrel we do, we probably fix two barrels that some knucklehead cut too short

We are still waiting on a couple more M4 barrels to come in before we tool up for this next batch of conversions, so if you need to get yours done, let us know ASAP so we can get it added to the list.

Also, we got a fresh batch of our KA-1212BR breaching attachments finished up. We can install one on your M4 barrel after the converting it to 14" for about $140 additional (includes the part and installation)

Joey,

Thanks for all of the clarifications - I was in a real bad cell phone reception area that day, so I was not able to get 100% percent of our conversation.

Do you have any pictures of the breaching attachment?

Man, I can wait until my dealer receives my M4 - the excitement is killing me...

Is this legal to do on my own? I used to work in the body shop industry so I have plenty of knowledge on mearsurements, welding, painting, etc .....

I dont want to get caught at the range by ATF and get hit with a felony and lose my current job.

I wouldn't do it while in possession of a M4. You can reweld the hangers and front sight base? Note the taper at the end of the barrel to accommodate the choke.

Yes its possible, I'd have to check out what kind of steel is used in the barrel and hanger/sight because you may get away with a solder. I have the m1014 so there are no choke threads right now anyway.
