MtGoat
All of the photos for the collapsible stocks don't show the tube for the recoil spring that would be required for the 3 or 4 positional notches. So for $325 to $600 you get the stock, where do you get the tube? What is required to replace the tube (is the factory silver soldered in or green Loctited like the magazine tube)? heckler&kochp2000
About 99% of all m4s do not need a recoil tube and if you are that 1% that does need a recoil tube go to numrich gunparts.com THE END
Broken Legend
The newer Benelli M4 has the tube. It's the recoil tube. You can see it if you disassemble the gun and unscrew the stock. Then you would screw on the new pistol grip and attach the collapsible stock.
BM4robbins
What is required to replace the tube (is the factory silver soldered in or green Loctited like the magazine tube)? Pat Loctite. Read a few threads describing the process for M1014's, which sounds similar to to the magazine tube conversion. They heated theirs up, removed and swapped in their notched recoil tube. StrangerDanger
Compare your recoil tube to the three units shown here.
StrangerDanger
If the tube must be replaced, it is a much more difficult job to do than a magazine tube. The same green locktite is used, but there are much more threads. The aluminum receiver is easily damaged if done wrong. I've written up several detailed step by step disassembly posts back in January. The Numrich Arms complete recoil tube assembly is the only place that I know of that sells the 3 position recoil tubes. The stripped unit they offer is the 2 position tube. No one wants these.
