I've owned my M4 since 2008, here's a picture of how it stands:

Modifications: Meprolight night sights, GG&G charging handle, GG&G Release pad, GG&G side sling plate adapter, Blawkhawk sling, Benelli standard stock, and side shell holder from Dicks Sporting Goods store.

Nice looking M4 sir!

Wow, that is nice. There's something appealing about that field stock. Good looking gun!

Thanks guys! Unfortunately I would love to have the factory collapsible stock and full length tube one day, but I want to wait until Carriercomps hammers, disconnects etc are all released first. In the meantime, this is my primary home defense weapon.

Why did you decide to run the "Standard Stock" as opposed to the pistol grip?

That Standard stock has class. It brings out the "boomstick" in the M4. I like it. I didn't want to say anything about the magazine you stuck with but since you posted about waiting for Kip and his biblical parts I guess I should say... Your gun with a full length Kip's tube would make me cream my pants. AWSOME.

To make it look less evil and more like a sporting shotgun

I really like the standard sporting stock also.

While I also think it looks better (thats just my subjective opinion), I think sporting stocked shotguns are more "ergonomically correct" and user friendly as far as the manual of arms is concerned, as long as we are just talking about tube-fed sporting based guns.

That said, I've got a C-Stock for my M4, but the pistol grip is more of a necessary evil to get the short collapsed length.

If I ever do any 3-gun shooting again, I'll be fitting it with a sporting stock also.

Nice looking shotgun.

I agree, plus I feel more comfortable with the standard stock - just too many years of using a sporting shotgun to switch now. I was wondering if you thought the same, and it looks like there are several other that agree as well.

I am not fond of the pistol grip stocks on shotguns, and I'm looking to add a standard stock to mine as soon as I can. I think I have a standard replacement stock coming to me that I found here on this forum.....at least I'm hoping it fits! In case I guessed wrong, do you have any idea about which other Benelli stocks can be used - or where I could find the standard replacement?

Thanks

Thanks Kevin! I am a skinny guy, so for me firing the M4 with the pistol grip stock is more comfortable since I feel the pistol grip helps absorb more of the recoil. With the standard stock all the recoil gets transferred to my shoulders :(

I bought my standard stock from Able Ammo, somewhere in Texas.
