bwarner
The manual states that the bolt handle can be pulled off with a firm tug. Tried several times,Am I doing something wrong?? Won't come off for me. [ 10-12-2005, 08:52 PM: Message edited by: bwarner ]
heavy4x4
It's easiest to pull off when the bolt is in the forward position. Pull hard. If you can't get it, I hear yanking on a shoe-string wrapped around it helps!
Commando
:)You can remove the entire assembly without taking the charging handle off to a point. What I did was take bolt out of shotgun and used a tool that I use for my AR15 which is just a push out tool that does not mark up area. You can use something similar and push out from the opposite side of the charging handle. After you do this then pulling the handle off at first is much easier. drakekillr
What I do is use a small loop of string, twist it a couple of times and pull. It comes right out. Keep the string in your breakdown case. A shoe string or small braided cord will work. It won't leave a mark.
drakekillr
Sorry, guess I didn't read all of heavy's reply the first go round.
tucker301
I've found it easiest to remove once the bolt assembly has been removed from the receiver. It comes out with a firm tug with finger and thumb.
