Only thing you can count on to be in stock with Kip is a large inventory of BS excuses. He'll never run out of those and it's a good thing. He needs them.

Find other sources, spare yourself the hassle.

Whatever chip you have on your shoulder with Kip, BigNose, whatever awful crime he committed against you in the past that you can't get over...can you please take it up in a PM with him? This thread isn't about your beef with his process, it's about the products that he has developed.

When products are available he sells them, and the people who like what he has developed wait. He is under no contract to provide ANYONE here with dates/quantities/rates of production. Are you trying to convince others to take their business elsewhere? Why?

If people have found their way into this thread it is because of word of mouth or because they have followed the truly competent posters on this forum such as KB, Unobtanium and the like....NOT posters like you! You tell me what you have created and sold to the benefit of your fellow Benelli enthusiasts? Crickets.....

Take your disrespectful and snide comments and shove them where the sun doesn't shine you ignorant little cretin.

You will probably do some waiting with Kip. I have been frustrated with him myself. Notably, his lack of providing information annoyed me. But he does provide us with superior products. That you can count on. I'm sure his faults will eventually become leveled out as his procedures, etc., become more established. IMO he is the best at what he provides us with. You just have to be patient with him. But I can say without a doubt, he does deliver.

It takes some of the dimmer members around here more time than others to figure this clown out. Unsure if there's enough time for you though, jury's out. You ought to hit the search button rather than post, you'd look less a fool. You just need him to lie to you a few times and we'll see how your tune changes. Spend two or three years here dealing with him then you can talk about it with credibility. For now you're just an ill informed, newbie, fan boi with the credibility one of them deserves -- ZERO.

I doubt you made a mistake ordering one from GG&G; their stuff is usually very nice and I've yet to be dissapointed with anything from them. I've been a repeat customer of their's for a few years now. I've bought multiple AR-15 attachments/acces from them and will be ordering at least the larger bolt release for my Benelli M4 and (whenever the ATF decides to get to my paperwork) M4 SBS.

With that being said, word has it Carrier Comp's titanium tube's are second to none (and that's not just the word from these forums). I ordered one 2-3 weeks ago and just got an email its on the way; thats not a long wait in my book. As soon as the black titanium bolt knob's are available from Carrier Comp, I'll be ordering one. Same for when Geiselle gets around to sending them more 922r compliant hammers. Maybe these bolt knob's have been a while in the works; I can't speak to that. I will say that sometimes when you want the best, that means you have to wait for it. I ran into the same thing with Raven Concealment holsters. I ordered one, waited 4 1/2 months to get it (they're that backlogged), and was pretty frustrated by the time it arrived. But, when I tried it on, it was more than worth the wait and I'm now waiting on another.

Seems like Carrier Comp is just a newer company and this is a "newer" product they're trying to role out. That means you have to be patient. If you don't wanna wait, then order one from someone else....it really IS that simple. I'll wait for what appears to be "the best". But maybe I'm just a newbie fan boi :p

You think it's a "newer company"? Does one cease to be "newer" after three years? Kip performs like he started his business...tomorrow-- but that's the issue.

The usual Kip supporters with years on this site showed up in this thread in the last two hours. I agree with nearly all of them on everything they post other than Kip. Kip himself was also here. No one had anything to say in refutation to my earlier post. You thought you should post? Are you a newbie fan boi? 2 posts and a week here? I say that's the exact definition.

Kip takes time to bring a product to market, and yes, sometimes he is hard to get ahold of, but when his product does hit the market, it is perfect, and resale value is through the roof.

You can say what you want about his wait times, and you would be right if you said that they can be/are long, quite often, but Kip has never refused to refund those who decide that they do not wish to wait, nor has he taken money and not delivered goods. If you don't think his products are worth the wait, that's a personal call, but you are going to have a VERY difficult time finding anything else to fill the niche in this market that his components fill.

I have 2 cents to put in, if anyone cares. Joshua's statement may have been a bit more strongly-worded than what I would have said, but I think his sentiment is spot-on. No one comes here to hear this Big Hat person whine about whatever happened between him and Kip. We come here to get unbiased, educated reviews on good, solid products. Big Hat is the only one who is not doing that. What is your contribution here?

There is NOTHING to figure out. There is no mystery, conspiracy, plot, or anything of the sort, BigHat.

Mainly, BigHat, Kip is a specialist who provides specialized products, and he provides them for a very low cost considering both material and workmanship involved. While we would all LOVE for him to work on our schedule, he doesn't. At least we can be thankful that he works on our requests.

The market demanded a full-length magazine tube. Kip brought us one that weighed roughly half what any other on the market at that time weighed, while providing plenty of durability.

Duggan and I wanted a mil-spec rail. We got it.

Many people wanted a titanium bolt-knob identical to the one made by "Tool-man" from another forum, manufactured under the company of "Design Concepts". We got it.

I guess my whole point here is that Kip is a complete anomaly. He produces insanely high quality parts for a group of people and a weapon system that he enjoys. He doesn't even consider it a living--how could he, at the rate/price/cost of his sales? This is A HOBBY. When your hobbies produce things that I will spend money on, BigHat, then you can start telling us how a hobby should be "performed". However, I am unaware of what your hobbies even are.

Now, if you are going to allege that Kip has stolen money from you, then that is something entirely. However, I have never seen even you say that. So let the man enjoy his hobbies, and let everyone who wants to benefit from them do so. We know we are in for a wait, but it's so worth it.

Yes, a three year old company is young, still pretty "new". Where was Magpul only three years into it? The only difference was they didn't give people a heads up what was coming until they could role it out in large numbers.

As for your last couple questions, yes, I thought I should post. My reply was mainly to Amsdorf's post directly prior too mine and anyone else trying to decide if they want to wait. Don't like it? Oh well. Is your issue really with my number of posts or that you didnt like my response? And if by newbie fan boy you meant new to this particular forum then yes by all means I am. I guess to you that means I shouldn't give input or reply and that I have no firearms experience. That makes about as much sense as saying you having 300 posts means your well experienced. It seems more likely from your arrogance that you just like to talk a lot.

I never even remotely hinted he stole money from me or alleged it here.. As a steady observer of these issues you know better than to post that. My complaint with him wasn't even about these delays. It was about direct lies saying he had already shipped me something when later it was proven he had not. And the belt fed BS excuses as to why his lying was justified.

You do make a very interesting point though. You say what Kip does is a HOBBY. First I've ever heard that. Seems like even you guys are now trying to rationalize this weirdness. Okay. So those that constantly post queries as to shipping and product availability now understand it's really not an enterprise that's run like a BUSINESS so adjust your expectations accordingly. Wish this was the first multi-month long thread about availability, but they've been almost non-stop for three years. Pick your item. So here we are two months into this one where shipping was supposed to start "next week" and nothing. Yep, quite a hobby.

Geissele selling hammers direct and FFT and others offer a good selection of parts. I remind posters that there are BUSINESS alternatives for your M4 needs.

I will probably be ridiculed as a "Newbie" or some such nonsense, but I still feel compelled to give my opinion on this. The careful reader can easily observe that Unobtanium did not "even remotely hint" that anyone stole money from anyone! As an employee of a small business myself, I will readily raise my hand if you ask, "Have you ever told someone you shipped something, thinking you have, and find out later that it is sitting right on the shelf?" I suppose that if you were a business owner, you could guarantee this would NEVER happen. Good for you! I will agree with you on this, though, there is definitely "weirdness" in this. The "weirdness", IMHO, is that you seem to be so fixated on some old beef with Kip. I did this search that you spoke of in your earlier post, and all I seem to be able to find is a bitter "Big Hat" who seems to have nothing better to talk about than the shortcomings of Kip. I will have to whole-heartedly agree with Raptor that it seems you "just like to talk a lot".
